  2. Kept expecting to see some pikey appear in the second video and disappear with camera  Sounds good from what you can hear on a camera mic  always love to hear them in person.

I've got the Berks decats and as you say, the noise is just so worth it! Mine have been off for MOT and man do you notice the difference, can't wait to get them back on!

 didn’t want to drive too far away plus the police siren makes it sound like a real dodgy area. Weekend afternoons on the industrial estates tend to be quiet though.

I must admit I always think its bollox saying an exhaust is 'true dual' when it got an X or H pipe in it. That means its not.

Fair play for turning it into a proper one.

I have the Invidia G200, as RT says above, is a true dual from the factory. I love it. Not sure whether being FI means the X or H pipe has less of an impact on it but I don't intend on changing it.

If its called a true dual it should be a true dual. Not a true dual ( with a little join in the middle)

I know what you mean. There are a couple of exhausts like yours that have no join so should be no harm in running an exhaust like this even in my case where it may not be performing at optimum as designed.

  3. I had the original, g200 exhaust from invidia, it had no x or h pipe like the new ones. Indicia scraped this design and moved to the x because it is better, I think you'll find you will have made the exhaust quieter, the x pipe ads more burble and an h pipe or balance pipe sounds better, but doesn't perform as well. If it was me I'd take it back and get them to put a balance pipe in. Can be a smaller narrow gauge pipe, doesn't need to be same diameter. I did alto of research when I designed my own, and there was a reason I put the x pipe in.

I must admit I didn’t do a lot of research and that’s why I have kept the x pipe from Invidia and not butchered it to use the end flanges for the mod. It may be installed in the future. To me the exhaust is loud enough (for now) but will be making a sound comparison when possible after it has a few hundred more miles through it. I take on board what you’re saying about performance.

  4. Finally had my Invidia Gemini dual exhaust fitted along with the Berks hi flow cats. Had these delivered fromTarmac  months ago and should have had them fitted long before now as I've been missing out on the sound :cloud9:

Despite the amount of R&D the manufacturer will have carried out, I decided to not use the x-over section but to have fabricated 2 straight sections in its place, making it a true true dual exhaust and having a slightly changed note due to both banks being separate. I realise this will take away the scavenging / balancing effect but figured any performance losses would hardly be noticeable and be out-weighed by the sound benefits :teeth:

Need to do a side by side side comparison with an unmodified Gemini to see how much difference it has made to the sound/burble.

Just need to get the Up-Rev tweaked now to accommodate these latest mods.

  5. Don't imagine the OPs still about to advise on a good course of action for this. Having owned my 04 zed for 8 months I finally tracked the intermittent rattle to the alarm led. The slightest touch of a finger stops it but I don't fancy using blue tac or glue on the dash!

I recently cured this annoying problem on my 04 Zed -

Try placing a finger on the dash to the left of the led. This also stopped the rattle either placing a finger on the led or dash.

I got some black, firm, foam type packaging and cut it into a narrow long strip. This was then placed between the dash (past the vents) and the bottom of the widscreen near the led and wedged/pushed in further until you couldn't see it. The very bottom of the screen is black so unable to see it from any angle. This worked for me by putting "extra pressure" on the dash and has been great for the 4 months+ I've had it installed.

  6. Enjoyable little 'tear up' even if i did have to :drive1 bit gingerly at times!

Andy (our leader) & Richie (The sausage gobbler)>> Great to meet you both.

I'll get my pics uploaded tomorrow chaps. However i imagine they'll be pretty much the same as Andys above tbh

Good to meet you Mark  . Think you're even more in love with your 370Z now.

That sausage was well worth the wait for. It sure did hit the spot, a taste sensation!

    That all sounds so wrong.....

.....It was Cumberland Sausage at the chippie for anyone who has that type of imagination :p

  7. You could sort your own out next week, I'll be at work!

For the rest of you, I was thinking meeting at the A591 junction at Bothel, then heading down it and along to Keswick. Maybe wait along School lane a tad.

Yeah, makes sense meeting/starting off in the middle of where we all roughly are

  8. Hi mate, west coaster here, there's a couple of us from the Egremont-Maryport area. I've been known to organise the odd meet, so keep 'em peeled.

    ----------------------------------------------------

AK350Z...sounds good mate keep me posted.

I'm actually in Wigton btw so only 20mins away from Maryport. Slightly further away from Mont.

Not too many 'Z's up here. Nice to have something abit different

:welcome: Hello from another West Coaster - Workington.

A few 350's round here now but not so many 370's as you say. You shouldn't be too hard to spot.

  9. Got myself one of these, looks B) and excellent fittment.

Just a note for those with the OEM bonnet prop - you will need to make a cut-out for the closed prop holder.....

....or just do what I've done and order some CF bonnet dampers so you can remove it and don't have to hack at it!

    Zeditis is spreading everywhere....

  10. :welcome: along.

As AK says - theres a friendly bunch of us around.

trying to find a 350z local to me is a nightmare!! out in the sticks, west cumbria!! cheers john

Before I purchased my Z (out of the county) I travelled a few miles, Leeds & Newcastle areas to view a few examples. Long days but at least you have pre/facelift Zeds to view locally to get to know them.

  11. Looks cool mate. Quick question, with head units like the one you've chosen, do the steering wheel controls still work?

+1^^^^ What DAZ6618 said above (if you buy the steering controls adapter, well worth it though)

  12. I too have just installed the same HU to replace the standard Bose and I'm also impressed

It took longer to strip out all the interior (rear cam installed) than to fit the HU and harnesses. If you get the correct adapters from the Sextons link then you only need to make 2 crimped connections at the rear of the HU (plus camera connections in the boot if fitted).

But as stated-be prepared to massacre the top of the fascia to allow the screen to open/close correctly.

  13. :welcome: fellow Cumbrian.

Where-a-bouts are you based? I'm in the Workington area. There's a few of us round these parts now.

I a have been seeing a few on the roads round hear am from ravenglass you doing the lakez ?

I'm hoping to but won't know if I'm off work until much nearer the time. I'm guessing you'll be there?
