Absolutely,.....bottom line......don't crash!
I am yet to come across any company that provides good after sales service (I'm taking about any company in any industry)
Not a single one? Really?
Anyway, i'm gonna see what admiral quote me this time round.
-
Never used the call centre for getting a policy.....I can guarantee that it's the same as vodafone though....awesome sales platform backed up with dire customer service platform
Amendments they were good at too(mods) and noddy stuff like chipped windscreen.
But tbh, it is quite possible their claims service isn't good, however, i'd be more worried if they couldn't even get the policy right in the first place. That doesn't inspire me with confidence.
I'm really not sure who is good for claims, you won't know until you have to make one.
-
Same company as Admiral.
Make a claim and they can be gash......they'll also put a god awful company called Albany Assistance in touch with you if you do have an accident DO NOT USE THEM.
Useless call centres largely populated with mongs.
Pretty sweet for the purposes of being legally insured to drive on the road though.
Personally I found their call centres pretty good and I never had any issues with at least getting a correct policy, some other companies have been hopeless.
However, never had to claim so I can't say what they're like in terms of dealing with claims.

Im a car novice and I freely admit that and I thought the back box looked big imo, guess to Mr joe bloggs size doesnt matter but the noise does Only big car enthuasiast would pick holes with the size of the back box???
Does seem a little odd, if it's looks you're after you buy something like amuse or hks, mostly all you see is tips anyway so that's what i'd base looks on.

TYRES
When i bought my car she weirdly had 3 Toyo T1R tyres (fitted after 40k miles) and one Bridgestone RE040 - previous owner was female! ( ).
Hope vik doesn't see this
-
Don't order any Ian - Unless you check they fit
Last I heard, ian was buying some 18x7 rotas with an et of 50

Crikey, I thought the progressivs were rarer than Hen's teeth.
I'd have thought those are pretty much the new price, but concave ftw all round if you're going with them.
Personally I prefer the looks of other wheels by rays and those are a bit narrow, with slightly higher offsets than i'd want, but you should only buy what you think looks good.
-
did i just read these brakes were 8500 !!!!
Alcons would probably be more than that.
-
Just a general observation that most people who go for big showy (heavy) wheels have trouble with something along the way...
If I had the Zed as a 3rd car just for meets and weekends then I would consider ricing her up but as she bubmles along the M25 and over the bridge pretty much everyday then I am happy as she is
Ahhh, but the wheels weigh no more than the standard 18s, tyres though is a different matter
-
If you're not flush, why not just get it repaired? Imho worth saving for a proper exhaust.
-
Nothing wrong with nice light coasters at least the car goes where I want it to go, handles properly and doesn't creak like an old pram
Hey, mine doesn't creak, just there's noise which almost sounds like a shot wheel bearing, but doesn't get worse with speed
-
I have always had a thing for bbw's....
What is not to like about things of beauty like those brakes, I had my own calipers done blue out of vanity remember
You'd have to have wheels bigger than your coasters then
-
Oh you bitch
Wooden clogs for you no? Must say, never thought i'd see you drool over a bbk
-
Agreed, apparently these don't actually make you walk better either
Those are wayyyy too stylish for you dave
-
I really don't get this, it just seems like a monumental waste of money to me. And I seriously doubt that they're that much better than the likes of AP and Stoptech in terms of performance.
The size of the rotoras probably does make a difference on those massive wheels, but I thought most people just bought bbks for looks tbh. Alcon/pfc do make better bbks than stoptech/ap racing.
You could argue the same about custom wheels from someone like dpe.

Everyone is talking about the RE's but it was the 452's that kicked out as they are on the rear.
But it was the RE's clearly to blame like everyone else says
Sounds like to me there wasn't much you could do and you just got very unlucky.
-
Evo-r (jay) has a bit of a shocking rep iirc.
-
I like the blitz spoiler personally and wanted one if/when I get a kit.
-
Okayish in the wet??? I mean lets not derail this thread into yet another tyre thread but jeaheeesus christ you must be joking?
You might as well strap 2 greased otters to your wheels (and these are not the sticky determined otters of old......these are really apathetic lubed up otters) as run RE040's in the wet. They are DEADLY.
Fair do's in the dry they're alright but to be fair I reckon you struggle to find many tyres are what you'd call 'bad' in the dry.
I didn't find them particularly bad? Budget no named are seriously much worse. Re40's would grip pulling away whilst you were sensible, budgets simply would not stop in wet conditions.
Budget no named tyres are bad in the dry.
If you drive like a mong everywhere, sure, they don't perform like falken fk452's or vreds in the wet, if you drive to their abilities, they're perfectly sensible tyres.
-
You are running REO40's??????????
Absolutely undoubtedly your answer........those things are fecking leathal.
I had them on my RX8 and I nearly 360'd twice in the first few weeks. Swapped them for vreds and never even had a twitch after that (in fact I test drove a 24k brand spanker and nearly binned it on the test drive ).
Simply the most shocking tyre I've encountered.........and I've ran a car with Nankangs.
We've ran mixed tyres front and rear on the 350 since we've had it........its never so much as stepped out once (Falkens front - ditchies on the rear).
Bollocks, they're great in the dry (lots of feedback and good progression) and okayish in the wet. They get much better with some heat in them too.
Nankangs are at least named budget tyres, yet, I managed to not have any accidents on no named budget tyres with 3mm at the rear and falken ze912's at the front with 2mm.

2nd gear at 30mph is in the Z sweet spot for torque, just a slight touch in the wet on a sharp bend will get the back end thinking.
But I feel for you mate
I dont even drive mine in the wet im that much of a pussy.
Hope you get it fixd soon!
Isn't yours charged now anyways?
-
NO NO NO!! The moment you put mixed tyres on you know the 350Z will head straight for the nearest ditch, the same as if you turn the TC off, you are effectively laughing in the face of death!
The TC isnt all that quick TBH, if it was a narrow road I can see how youd hit stuff before it had a chance.
Maybe you are, you can't handle the z
The TC interferes a little late, then again, I don't think the zed is exactly like a tvr to drive, it's pretty damn predictable.

Why are these so expensive? I can't see where all the extra money is going.
I think they're the only jdm company to manufacture bbks? Seems most people have them for that reason alone.
Endless also do a BBK, makes these look like pocket change though
And hks, greddy, oops But it is the name as ian said
Elephant - What's the catch?

Aftersales is about making good @*!# situations, imo quite a few companies are good at that.
