  1. The only reason why I belive they can't be repaired without respraying and removing the polished lip is because iv been to three differant repair shops and they told me the same.

However one place did say about the 3 stage process but he said it was very very expensive. And he wouldn't even know where to start.

I am now trying to go down the route of claiming through their insureance, luckily I have family that can help with the legal side and are trying to find out if there is a claim of a complete set or refund for what I paid or just 1 wheel ect ect.

Thanks again guys I am taking each comment and working out the possibility of each opinion, I did consider going straight to AUTO MEDICS, however Black circles are dealing with it all for the minite and I seem to be getting a good response.

Not sure what they will say when I tell them they are no longer avilable, just gotta hope and get abit of luck!

    Thanks again

    Liam

Polished rims can be refurbed, but if they've got an anodized coating like volks, you'll lose the protection that offers.

Have you tried somewhere like the wheel specialist or lepsons? Not many shops do split or polished rims.

Are you also absolutely sure that nobody in the usa is selling them?

  2. That's exactly why I loved it! never gonna get those style of old films back with all those stars so was great to have it all cheesed up in one place! Too many super intelligent and serious plot twisting long films now which are OK but not as fun as these!

I want to see it again, enjoyed a lot more than the first one.

    Exactly

Would it be better if it was an action film where they ran out of bullets because of the recession?

  3. I know you have previously said that the wheels cannot be repaired because they are chrome but I'm sure there must be wheel repairer/chrome plating combination somewhere that can offer a solution and to that end I would contact Lepsons http://www.lepsons.com and seek their advice initially. They did work for me and they really are quite professional, if any one knows I'm sure they will.

Hope you get it sorted mate :)

Chrome? Aren't they a polished finish?

But damn, some of those gouges :surrender:

  4. Caymans just don't do it for me. M3 on the other hand.... :cloud9:

Agree with sarnie tho if ur being sensible with buying a house soon ur gonna take a big hit on either of the 2

But from behind, they're so dull. It just looks like a 335, even the front on the standard m3 you've shown aside from the wheels looks dull.

Cayman looks much better and they seem to handle well on track too. Not quite in the same league as a 911 though.

  5. If you're after slightly marginal more power, drop the cats for hfcs. Even then, that's what 5-10hp?

I think the fujitsubo systems are quiet and good quality, i'm sure tarmac can offer some other options too.

I really don't think it's worth worrying about perf gains from an exhaust, the only thing I noticed with hfcs was how much heavier the stock cats are.

  6. No, I meant the F1. The one with the BMW V12. Nothing to do with Mercedes at all.

Good gravy, I thought that was made under the mercedes partnership  Oops

Ok, anything outside of the slr and the f1 then :p
