  1. boot.jpg

Ok ok its a divider but it has 2 clever sides to it 1 YES BOOT DIVIDER :yahoo: 2 If you notice it is covered in sound proofing material and STOPS the noisy exhaust :lol:

No seriously had the car 1 week now and love it to bits however I found a fault :scare: yes put my shopping in the boot one night , well 1st night from tesco's going down the road some dilinquent ran out infront of me and i hit the brakes hard and ended up with most of my shopping in the cockpit :rant:

so just a bit ov velcro now and volla lovely job opinions please ..........

  2. Prety sure they dont paint the underside on the blade cars, think the original bonnet from my car is a sort of matt looking grey on the underside. They probably come this colour originally and so would only paint theem for the darker colours.

When you buy a bonnet from a dealer, they come in etch primer colour. So black.

Same as my JDM, the underside is not lacquered.

Same this end of the world, doesn't matter which colour. So it matches the engine bays as they don't continue the exterior into the bay.

hmmm mine looks crap and most of the cars i have owned have a gloss underside on the bonnet as well as insulating foam

SO gonna get it painted :teeth:

  3. Thanks for all overwhelming welcolm's think I am gonna like this fourum :teeth:

the car is fitted with a cold air induction kit from the states and also has some lovely sounding rear pipes made in the usa like 2 round pollished stainless baffels and 2 large exit pipes on a lovely tapper apparantly cost £1500 gonna try and take some photos soon .

  4. Mine done by Paul of Dreamcustomz. They dont flash but thats not for me.

They look fantastic. Have you had any misting issues with them after they were done ?

Yeah passanger side gets condensation in it.Just whip the wheel off, remove arch liner, take sidelight and indicator out and give it a blast with my car dryer.Job done.

Clarkie you can permenantly fix this bud....whip off your headlights and run some black silicon sealent around the edges this will make a water tight seal and should stop them from steaming up

    thanks fast responce :)

  5. i'd go for HFC's over decats, the gains might be slightly less but the noise is far less raspy.

if your fabricating them yourself then make the neck for the O2 sensors longer to pull them out of the flow. should stop the lights coming on, basically building in yourt own antifoulers.

personally if you had to go the decat route i'd go for resonated ones as decats make the exhaust note horribly raspy

Thanks for the info I could fabticate a 50mm stainless perforated pipe with 80mm outer wrapped with an insulating material !! this would stop the resonance , I used chery bombs on my ZM to de-cat that, could do with an old Cat to set up a Jig Anyone ?

    Ste ..

I could help you with an old cat/cats but you will need a pair as they are handed.

Let me know if I can help you further.

    Alex.

Thanks for offer alex , but could do with someone a bit closer :) and willing to lend them me for about 2 months as I tend to take my time :teeth: mind you dont think it would take too long to fab up a jig but just incase as I rather busy at times !!

anyone can I please borrow your cats for a few months at the most I prommis I will take care of them ;) and return them as you gave me them.... Oh not the pussy ones btw

  11. Hi all I am thinking of fabricating some nice stainless de-cat pipes for my Z few questions 1st 1 is their any lamber sensors in the cats 03 plate .

I know this will make it a bit noiser but will I need any other mods ?

Will I get a warning light on the dash ?

    Thanks Ste .

  12. I suppose it depends on where or who drilled the holes in the 1st place !! I want to remove my front long black one as fitting a private plate which is half the length , if the holes are spaced wide appart you will see them :bang: so I will have to get some new long plates made up

best thing to do is take your front plate off and have a look :D

    Ste .

  13. They are very difficult to find. Dealers get them from E-bay as they have a quota allocated. E-bay is your best bet.

Thanks for that but £140 I may as well use my tom tom and use the screen as a dvd player :D

    Ste .

  14. Thanks for replys , what I did with my TVR someone had theirs off the road their plenum was worse than mine I had it bead blasted and powder coated fitted it to mine and gave the my old one ! they were happy because mine was in better shape than theirs and kept theirs origional plus I gave them a drink :teeth: thus mine was only off the road for a few hours :) but I dont want it polished as the car is blade silver thought it would look good the same  anyway I probably will do this over winter now when the car is garaged ;)

    Thanks ..

    Ste
