  1. Confirm that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch ON and wait 3 seconds.

Repeat the following two procedures quickly five times within 5 seconds:

Fully depress the accelerator pedal (HARD).

    Fully release the accelerator pedal.

Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 10 seconds until the CEL starts blinking.

**at this point you need to count the CEL light flashes, think it starts by flashes 10 times slowly to indicate it is beginning then faster for the code. For example if it flashes 10 times slowly, 3 times fast, 2 times fast, 5 times fast 10 times slow then the code would be 325, then just match to the code list.

Then if you want to clear the code:

Fully release the accelerator pedal (while the CEL is still blinking)

    Wait about 10 seconds.

Fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for more than 10 seconds.

Fully release the accelerator pedal (The CEL light will continue to blink).

Turn ignition switch to OFF position and now you can start the car. The CEL light should be gone.

Wow thanks for that just what I needed mine is on because I de-catted it :teeth: need some spacers for the probes if I thrash it the light comes on !

  3. No No and No ..................Looking at the rear chassis and rusty bits lol  their is a lot of allumininm bits underneath and I would not like to attach anything to the underside to use it as a tow truck :headhurt: .... that tow hitch is tested so it says to 1500kgs right so the actual tow weight would be around 500- 600gks so basicaly I would only think about towing my lunchbox behind me  and would be wondering that if I hit a pot hole on a hill the trailor and the rear of the car would be left behind me :lol:

get a cheap tow car mate .... I use my bm touring for my bikes etc ......

At my workshop I made a ramp and used the forklift to opperate it up and down :teeth: with safety precautions in place so if hydraulics went car still would be in the up position ;) had 3 tonnes on it so I now its safe !!!

No its a fairly low pressure one and if you look in the pics you can see I have only concentrated on the rusty areas , TBH a car of this low millage is quite bad compaired with my 1989 BMW :scare: The underside of the Z is treated from factory very poorly IMO SO never mind all you lot detailing Topside What about Underside !!!! :teeth:

  12. Hi Mate ... just check and make sure your car has coolant and not antifreeze !! if the car got hot and spatt some out on the front ... I will say this because I seen my sisters cat licking tarmac on investigation saw a small puddle of antifreeze (yes I stuck my finger in it and tasted it  ) anyway cat was bad next day ....vet says if it would have had a lot it would have killed the cat ....so just make sure . :)
