  1. Hi Guys, Can anyone recommend a good bodyshop in the Surrey area, i require some respray work?
  2. Lovely looking Zed and very low miles! I hope you decide to keep her. But if you dont please feel free to get in touch with me if you decide to sell the nismo exhaust.
  3. UFC all the way for me! Seen it a couple of times live at the O2, the atmosphere is amazing and it's a lot more entertaining. Favourite fighter for me at the moment has to be Dan 'The Outlaw' Hardy!
  4. I think you can try your luck these days, these cars are hard enough to sell in the current climate as it is, as many on here will tell you. Go in low and see what they say, they can only say no.
  5. Thanks to EH 370Z who has been a great help and ran an experian HPI check for me and I now know for definite it's not an import, the purchase can still go ahead. Martinmac you were very right the insurance system was the reason for my panic Thanks for your help guys. Steve
  6. Go in at a cheeky £7500, you can always go up from there. It depends how much your maximum is, you must have a figure in mind? If there is a lot of cosmetic damage, you can use this to haggle if you want to get this stuff sorted.
  7. Yeah we do, I have a work van and my girlfriend also has her own car. The company that I have my van insurance through is going to call me tomorrow morning because the quotes they were getting tonight for multicar were incredibly bad.
  8. Yeah i told the guy its not meant to be an import, so he is going to call me tomorrow morning to sort it out. He said he had quotes come in at about £3000!!! my cheapest has been £835 with admiral
  9. Very useful information its looking like the insurance companies are a bit confused as Martin said.
  10. Im panicking a bit right now! would the VIN plate on the car be in japanese if it was an import? Confused.com and a company i called both said fairlady z thats what has started my panick Thanks for that, im slowly calming down....................... I haven't seen anything else to suggest it is a Jap import to be fair.

  12. Post some pics of it, particularly the interior If only i knew how to post pics! I can tell you the interior is exactly the same as my other 06 zed, all the steering wheel controls, phone, cruise control. Leather seats etc.
  13. So could it be completely fine. On the HPI check it says it was first registered in the uk on the 25th JUNE 2006, its an 06 facelift with 06 plates. Would it show up on the HPI if the car was imported? Would the VIN plate be diffferent if it was an import?
  14. Im going to be pick up a 350z on saturday from a private seller, and whilst doing an insurance quote i put the registration in and it has come up as a Nissan Fairlady Z.(which i know is the import model) The car is fitted with the nismo kit and has the UK shaped plates front and rear, why would this show up on the insurance quote? I put my OLD 350z reg in which was a UK model, and this came back as a nissan 350z (296) coupe Could the car im about to buy be an undercover jap import? How else can i tell? Thanks in advance.
  15. Not yet - I was offered when I went to view on Saturday but daft as it sounds I knew I'd get a bit too nervous with the dealer in the car so I'm going back with my Dad tomorrow who knows far more about engines than I do so will go for a spin with him. Bless him, he's even going to get his ears syringed in the morning so he can hear properly Any tips or pointers for us? Cheers, S. at the ear syringing, he will be able to hear EVERYTHING!! Check for leaking pipes in the engine bay, i remeber i had leaking power steering fluid on mine coming from just behind the front bumper, turned out to be a perished pipe. Not sure if this is a common issue though. Enjoy the test drive you will love it, gear changes take a bit of getting use to at first. Let us all know how it goes.
  16. Have you taken the zed for a test drive yet?
  17. Thanks mate. I have just done a quick quote for myself now aged 26 and with 1 years no claim earnt on another vehicle as my other 8 are on my VW Transporter Sportline work van. I put the Nismo kit on as an optional extra and the quotes on comparethemarket.com came back as just over £1000 for elephant and admiral. So i went on gocompare and did the same quote and they came back as £850 ish for elephant and admiral (essentially the same company). Then i went onto elephants own website and got a quote for just under £800!!!! Mental It definitely pays to shop around. I find it is cheaper if i put my girlfriend on as a named driver. Dont accept original quotes from compare sites(unless they are very reasonable) i read an article recently stating that you can save money by calling the exact same companies that have quoted you on compare sites as the compare sites can put at least £65 commission onto the insurance premiums quoted on there sites.
  18. Telfast 180 prescribed tablets do the job for me!! I've also got an infrared device with two prongs that go up your nose, purchased from boots...........i think! its meant to work, but i never really use it as the tablets do the trick.
  19. I prefer the Falcon 452's great in the wet and dry.
  20. No worries. As it's an optional extra I would insure it as a modification as insurance companies only recognise them as standard models, you have to add the extra bits on yourself. It shouldn't cost much more to be honest, when I had my first 350z which I sold last year, it had the FF nismo kit, I was paying around £650, aged 25 and with 8 years protected no claims. I know what you mean about the road tax, I'm currently looking for another zed with nismo kit etc, for the sake of an extra £200 a year I would rather have the face lift as I prefer the interior and the light upgrades. Personal choice though.
  21. Spotted this evening on my way back from Alton Towers, Reg ended **** ZZZ
  22. I've not known the seats and gear knob to branded with nismo if the factory kit is fitted, this could have possibly been an optional extra aswell. You can tell if the kit is genuine only buy removing the bumper where there should be a nismo sticker, you may be able to see it if the car is on a lift. 23. I think this may be the same company as the one on eBay as the N1 rear diffuser on that website is the same as the one on eBay. Who is this guy you all speak so highly of?
  24. Hi guys, Just wondering if anyone has had this replica nismo kit fitted and how well the actual fit is? I know the link is only for the front bumper but the other parts are also availabe in the sellers ebay shop. The fit looks good from the pics. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-350Z-Z33-N ... 5369936971
