    Original message:

Had a spare set of headlights sat in the spare room for around 3-4 months, and finally decided to open them up tonight.

Turns out they were very easy to open, and only used a cardboard box and a heat gun!

Progress will be slow, but i thought i'd start a thread to hear peoples suggestions/views.

The plan is to paint the insides a dark gunmetal colour, keep the shrouds the current colour, and add in halos. Hopefully get something looking like these in the end!

Let me know your thoughts!

  2. Hey

I love how the nismo exhaust looks against the nismo bumper and was wondering if someone could be so kind as to measure the diameter of the pipes? I would like to get my rear tips increased in size to fill the amuse bumper. Thinking non rolled.

Pictures of the exhaust would also be appreciated!

If you arent buying a branded kit, Simons exhaust in EK are worth a shout!

  3. Drive my zed every day so for me every day is like Friday :teeth:

I used to drive mine daily, and racked up 8000miles between Feb-June. Bought a cheap runabout for some home renovations and started to use it daily.

When you are sat in a 11 year old focus estate all week, its nice to get back into the Z. You appreciate it much much more.

  4. I done the apprenticeship route when i was 16. Could have stayed on for my final year at school and go to uni, but had zero interest in doing so. All my mates were skint and i was the one with a mortgage at 18 and a decent car.

8 years on ive moved from the tools (Heating Engineer) and now working as Mechanical Project Manager on one of the biggest jobs in Glasgow/Scotland. Apart from the apprenticeship, i put myself through an HNC course which was self funded. I feel this helped a little with the transition from site to office.

I would love to progress to uni and continue on from my HNC, however i do not have enough desire to fund this myself. Im holding out for a company that will put me through it!!

In short, you can make a very good living if you work hard for it!

  5. Took my 370z for its P3 service at Infiniti Glasgow off the back of the reviews on here.

Have to say it was the best service ive ever received from a garage! The attitude off everyone in there is great, really welcoming and helpfull!

Got a Q50 for the day, and it was a cracking motor, really nice comfortable drive, and pretty nippy for a big motor! Car came back spotless too which was a bonus!

Great to have a bit of trust from an honest dealership, and will certainly be taking the car back in future! Thanks!

  6. Pml! Thats only cos' I left stuff on the plate  jk. will be good to see folk. Looked on the Tarmac forum, no list of cars etc like last time so hopefully get some nice cars. I might spend a bit more time talking and looking into to them this time. Last time I just generally looked and then sat in the Countach then ate lol.

... then awkwardly walked around nursing a semi after sitting in the countach!!

Im not sure if i'll make this. May change my mind on the day depending on how rough i am

  7. torn between the carbon signal extended N or the aerojacket. aerojacket seems to have a smoother sweep than the carbon signal.

anyone else want any aerojacket parts from the states and share the postage? ross once I've decided i'll let you know asap about the carbon signal spoiler.

btw why did you choose the CS over the aerojacket ross?

I wasnt keen on how thin the Aerojacket got at the end. It looks really thin! I wanted the best balance of lookig standard, but being a little different, and the Carbon Signal seemed the better choice.

Cant wait to get this on my car!!!

  8. One of my fronts was squealing, so i took it out and copper greased the back of it. At 40k miles, i was surprised to see plently life left in them.

As said, it is a very very easy job on these cars!

  9. Might be up for this, be good to see what shes running. Can you show up or do I need to contact to confirm a run?

Im not too sure Andy, but i will ask the guys who are arranging it. I believe that since we already have 10 confirmed, its just turn up on the day.

Keen to put mine on too!

Damm I am working till 4pm so won't make it.

    Thats a shame!
