Mods look great, like the idea of a spare wheel myself, do you mind if I ask how much and what size I need to look for Thanks, Colin.
I was pretty lucky and pick mine up for £85 on eBay. They appear very rarely for £150+, and the only one i can currently see if for the wheel only:

I posted details on the below thread:

I was a big fan of the mods you did on your Mazda 3 MPS (had one at the time aswell ) ... and I like what you've done here on your Z !
Which MPS? Had a Red MK1 and Silver MK2. Assume you are off the forum, dont recognise the username?
Thanks all!
I had a black mk1 facelifted version ... but kept quiet on the forum.... I absolutely loved your mk1, and although I always hated the mk2 styling, your mods made it okay (especially the exhaust)
Thanks mate! The MK2 was a nice car but after having the MK1, i never really enjoyed it as much! The exhaust was great, and if my Z never came with the custom exhaust, i would have made my own switchable exhaust for it!

great car, great mods, love the wheel and the auto dimming mirror (where did that come from ?)
It came from an E36 beemer! A little work breaking it open, wiring it in, and cutting/attching it to the 370z ball joint. However i do feel it was worthwhile, as all my previous cars had one, and grew used to it.
You can get the mirror for about £10 on eBay, so its fairly inexpensive. Power taken from the map lights.

Yep agree amazing great pics.., steering wheel looks ace... How hard is it to get the airbag off?. I tried to find instructions but couldn't as my stereo volume control doesn't work...
Each side of the wheel there is a small plastic grommets. You pop these off and behind them is a security torx head screw. Remove the screws and the airbag just pulls out. Takes about 5 mins.
Do you mind me asking how much your steering wheel was? Thanks ☺ï¸
The wheel cost £250, but £50 of that gets refunded when you return your own wheel back to him. (Exchange basis)
I cannot reccomend his work enough, its excellent!!
Thanks for the comments.

(Light cut off is fantastic thanks to the clear lense i fitted during the headlight works.)
Apologies for all the photos, but as you know, they say a million words!!
Up next i have waiting:
Front Tyres (Michelin Pilot Super Sports)
Front Pads (Ferodo DS2500)

After seeing Josh's re trimmed steering wheel on here, i decided to send mine off to Jack @ Royal Steering Wheels too.
Absolutely delighted with the results:

And thats me caught up with 2014!
I moved house in September, so everything went quiet. I did however buy a few bits for the car, that sat for a few months untill i got round to fitting. Those being, Carbon Signal TypeN Carbon Fiber Spoiler, Evo-R 3 piece Carbon Fibre Splitter and Seibon Carbon Fibre rear spats.
Never been a fan of tyre weld, i bought myself a genuine 370z spar off ebay, and got a jack off zmanalex.
Then i set to work on my headlights. I bought a spare set off eBay, and got to work on them over Christmas. See full details in this thread:
-
Very happy with the results!
After fitting them, i decided the dip stick stood out like a sore thumb, so it got the treatment too (looks like a lolly pop )
Fitted my K&N's! Throttle response improved, and a very nice sound under load. Not as loud as i was expecting. I remember the last N/A car i put an intake on gave a huge roar all the time.
Part of me wants to rub them down and paint the pipes gloss black. Dont know if i can treally find the time though!!
fitted 25mm Eibach spacers all round, which makes the car look a bit more beefy! Love the way they look.

Its only when they are off the car you realise how wide the rear tyres are!!!

Update!
So first mod was some satin silver "Z" badges:
Then i fitted my Blackvue, and also added an auto dimming mirror:
Then i fitted some red footwell lights. These are set to come on with side/headlights. They are powered via a potentiometer so i can dim them as required:
Then i did a flush of the clutch fluid. Glad i did as this was the colour of the stuff!
Then i fitted a reversing camera. Fully integrated into the head unit, and replaces one of the number plate lights. (Look how big the boot is with all the padding removed!)
Whilst the boot inners were removed, i took out the rear lights and fitted some chrome indicator bulbs.
Then i was wanting to paint the front strut bar, and the engine cover. Paint choice was VHT Anodised Red, which comes with a silver base coat, red paint and finally a cleart coat. Looks good, but left it in the house over night to fully cure. Will be fitted tomorrow.

Owned this car for just over a year, and thought a "build" thread was long overdue.
Here are some photos from when i bought the car:
The car came with a custom straight through from Longlife in Leeds, which sounded great, but just a little too loud for a daily driver!

As i said last time, if i am not in work i'll come along. Wont know until next Friday.

Im sure this is a somewhat common fault. Ive certainly seen other topics about this (maybe not this forum).
Since reading them, i made a point of spraying white lithium grease on the hinges every few months.
Edit:
Just looked at the photos and seen it was a 350z. My apologies, thought this was the 370z section for some reason.
That doesnt look too good!!
-
I would have taken a set of these if i hadnt bought some Seibon CF ones.
What side blades are they? Any more photos? Do they come in CF?

The wheel is very easy to change. Two screws hold the airbag, and one nut holds on the wheel itself.
I had mine retrimmed by Royal Steering Wheels.
-
They look excellent mate! I like the contrast with the shroud!
Look good
Any difference in the brightness/range now the internals have been painted/changed ?
Dark internals would not effect the light output on these lights. The light output is via a projector lense. If the lights were the older reflector style set up, then yes output would be drastically reduced.

I wasnt keen on it as it bolts/screws onto the standard spoiler. Look at more photos on google and make sure you do like it.
Didnt bothered looking where to buy one, so cant help with that. I got a CarbonSignal CF instead.
Yea seen a pic of the top of it now! Not keen on that! This the one you gone for is it? http://www.carbonsig...rig.jpg?4415124
Yes, but when you go for the carbon one, its a whole new spoiler, not an add on.
Here is a photo when i was trial fitting the spats. Just need to wash the car, stick them on and fire in a couple of screws underneath. You can just see the spoiler.

Spoiler is a Mines add on. Spats are Sunline/Aerojacket/Seibon. Ive got the Seibon CF ones ready to go on mine.

I will be looking for a Southbend clutch and single mass flywheel at some point this year. Let me know if you plan to stock them.

Hey Ross. I wouldn't mind this option plus I'm in Glasgow. Fancy a meet and I can take a look?

I'll let you know mate when ive done my other set. Now i know my way around the lights, i'll see how quick i can turn them around.

I just remembered walking through Glasgow last Firday and a very modified 350z drove past me.
It was a light blue, possibly a satin wrap, loud exhaust and a few small decals.
Anyone on here?

Its a 370z wheel that has been remoulded. Bigger grips, and flat bottom.
Yeah it is, all the way from Dubai i believe! Had a 6 week wait for it when i purchased!
Not exactly cheap, however IMO its much nicer than the Aerojacket ducbill, and worth the extra money. Also its a complete new spoiler, not an add on like others.
