  1. i pulled out the main cluster to reach in and splice the smaller cluster wiht the reverse bulb in it.

once your spliced just run the wires back to the camera and one back to the head unit to signal reverse gear along with video feed .

either that or youl be taking of splash guards etc and going in form underneath.

Ive ran the yellow RCA cable and plugged it into the Rear view camera input (video input) but the camera instructions tell me to connect the live to the reversing light loom.(so that it switches the camera on when in reverse) I have a wire on my Kenwood unit called "reverse sensor wire" i will splice that up to the reverse lamp harness also .

  2. ...but wont you be plugging it into your head unit? I just took a live feed from there... then its on all the time.

This is what i'm looking to do... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Night-Vision-Rear ... 2a060b270e

Yep, virtually the same as mine. You get 5 meters of cable with this, so you can run the power from anywhere - it doesnt have to be the reverse light. :)

    Sorry this is the one i bought...http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Car-Rear-View-Rev ... 2306530d09

It only has a short lenth of cable (1.5 metres)

  3. Good pictures but that zed is crying out to be lowered! :scare:

Having driven that pass and others in the area in a 350 and having caught the front aprons on the tight cambered turns there I can fully understand why it is not lowered for practical reasons, and as much it may look better ;)

Living in an area full of humps and enjoying trips to Wales and the Lakes is the reason why I did not lower the 350 or will be doing that to the 370, and I cannot justify the cost of cockpit adjustable suspension for the few times using a lowered ZED would be suitable.

And having seen how lowered ZEDs have struggled when road conditions don't suit, as much as lowering improves the looks repairing the damage and restricting the driving enjoyment does not always make it worthwhile, IMHO.

Perfectly explained and the same reasons why i wont lower mine

  4. my dads always said to me get the best tyres for your at the end of the day they keep you on the road.

Thats good advise. The one thing with tyre's is you have to be confident that they will perform well. I have done track sessions with falkens and been very happy with them . So unless someone comes up with an alternative in the same price bracket it will be Falkens again. I remember when Bridgestone, Yokohama tyres were classed as Jap Crap, the first thing you did when you bought a new Jap bike was to remove the tyres that came with the bike in favour of a set of new Avons. So tyres like the Neuton NT5000 , Maxxis, Achilles, Cooper, Federal etc might all be capable tyres but until you get confidence from the brand you stay well clear.
