It was a 370Z and it was around 3pm mate, as I said above haha

I don't think it's ugly or anything but I couldn't help compare it to the looks of a 350z & 370z and it's nowhere near as nice to me. Probably didn't help that it was silver. Looked a lot nicer in black. If I was spending the amount of cash they are on this type of car I'd probably prefers a BMW 335i Coupe

Had one of these as a courtesy car whilst my 370z was being serviced at Infiniti. Thought I'd post up what I thought of it compared to the 370z, drove it for about 120 miles albeit mostly motorway.

Driving wise, it had the same auto gearbox that's in the 370z, with flappy paddles on the steering wheel if you switch it to the DS mode. It worked well and I quite enjoyed going up through the gears, but for me a manual gearbox is far superior and more fun to drive. It didn't feel anywhere near as quick as the 370, but it definitely shifted! Was a much more smoother ride too and was extremely comfortable. Suspension was pretty stiff too so it cornered pretty well.

Inside it's loaded with all the goodies my 370 has, connect premium with the hard drive, BOSE sound system and Bluetooth audio. The interior is slightly more classy than the Nissan, as you'd expect from the Infiniti range. The roof could also go down, even though it's a hard top, but I didn't fancy testing that out in December. One thing it did have extra the 370z doesn't was the reversing camera. This was really handy and I plan on fitting one to mine tomorrow having bought all the necessary hardware for doing it.

Looks wise, the car is lovely on the inside and fairly nice looking at it from the outside. Albeit a different car as it has 4 seats, I don't think it's half as nice as the 370z or the 350z for that matter. I don't know why, but it reminded me of an Astra or a focus convertible, and that can't be a good thing!

All in all, I certainly wouldn't be rushing out and buying one. It's a bit too grown up for me and is a lot more refined and subtle than the 350Z and certainly the 370Z.

Aye it's one of those chores I guess! It was actually her who spotted the 370 going the other way on the M8, not me lol.

Haha, the missus has been nagging me to take her to see the Pandas for ages. Was a long day !

The 370 net is a lot bigger than the 350 one (having had both) and Nissan's price was around the £84 mark for the 370 one IIRC.

 

Got mine s/h though for less than half that

Yeah I've just saw what the official 370Z one looks like. I'd want that rather than the 350Z one as apparently it's not the best fit.

Is this a 350z or 370z one?

I was heading back to Glasgow having been at Edinburgh Zoo and saw a 370Z going Edinburgh direction at about 3pm yesterday. I was in a silver Infiniti G37 though as I was heading back to pick my Z up from being serviced.

Also spotted a blue 370z in the village area of East Kilbride a couple of times.

I had an OEM Net in my 350Z boot and it was a god send for food shopping etc. My 370 didn't come with one, I noticed there is clips for one though. Does anybody know if there is a part number for a 370 one, or is it just the same one as the one for the 350? I asked my local Nissan garage and the guy was absolutely useless. Said they don't really deal with the performance nissans... 😨

Any idea when the new maps will be out for 2013/14? I was disappointed the new M74 extension in Glasgow wasn't on the update.

Yeah that's the one. Service was absolutely great, massive step-up from Nissan. Plus the car was great I took it a run through to Edinburgh. I actually saw a silver 350GT driving past the garage around 15.45 today, wasn't you was it?

Just home from picking up my 370Z from the Infiniti Garage in Glasgow after it's 3rd service. I took advantage of the forum discount and got a bargain. All in all in was £131 and that included a courtesy car (£12.50 charge for insurance). Considering the guy that had my car before paid £249 for a P1 2 years ago in West London it's a great deal. I had a 13 plate G37. Great car fully loaded with all the goodies my Zed has, although not as fun as the 370. Highly recommend them, wish I had taken my 350Z there for its services. Catrina on reception is very friendly and the technician David took time to talk over what was done.

I have finished the update, took well over 2 hours to complete for me. Had no error messages or stalls, worked perfectly. I am happy to post them on to the next person in line?

Long shot - If anybody has a low mileage one for sale get in touch. Can get one form the US for about £450 inc. import taxes but wouldnt mind a used one if in good condition.

I am in the exact same boat. Mine badly need refurbed due to the previous owner. I love the colour so I am reluctant to get them done unless its the same.

I get no hiss or rasping. I researched this on US forums, apparently the invidia rasps with BERKS and thats why I went with those ones, not because they were cheaper. If you are local to Glasgow you are welcome to have a listen.

I am thinking of taking mine off and I have only driven a few miles. It sounds a bit boy-racer for my liking. too loud

Yeah it might be a little too loud for my liking, might take a bit of gettin used to. Not sure how it would have sounded without the HFC's and if it would be slightly quieter

I have Invidia Gemini and ERZ high flow cats any there is no rasping. It sounds great but is pretty loud.

AJRFulton was apparently posting them to me but hasn't confirmed he has yet. I'm offshore at the moment so can't confirm if they've arrived or not but is suspect not

By engine light, I'm assuming you mean the EML (engine management light).

 

It could do I'm afraid as when changing CATs you are causing the engine to run outside of specification, the light would ONLY come on if it went too far out of spec.

 

Likelihood is that it won't bring up the EML as you'd need to change a lot more than just installing some high flow cats!

Thanks for the reply, had them both fitted and there is no light. 1st time I've had an aftermarket exhaust on my car, it's rather load.

I am going to install this in the next few weeks. Thanks for the idea, this forum just costs me cash!
