Im desperate to start modifying my 350 but finances just wont allow it , I was wondering if anyone had anything like a S/S backbox, popcharger, set of 19s (swap including my std 18s), led rear lights, etc, etc that they'd be interested in swapping for my Apexi SAFC II? I also have a set of unused 6k hid bulbs from a hid conversion kit if anyones interested?

I'm based in Glasgow.

Nah it was a place up in Fife and deffo a UK, saw a Jap one earlier in the day and pretty easy to spot the differences to be honest with the nav, rear plate holder and display on the speedo and rev counter.

My old man has just joined the Nissan frey but has well and truly trumped my recently aquired 350Z by getting a R35 GTR premium.

Went out with him on Tuesday to see an 58 plate import black edition with 8k miles and as soon as he drove it he was smitten (and no wonder the way it went) but thought it was a bit steap. Went onto autotrader later that day and found a 09 plate UK premium edition with just 3k miles for nearly £5k less so went to see it that nite and put down the deposit there and then. Im taking him to get it tomorrow morning.

Im just hoping he finds it in his heart (and bank account) to put me on the insurance once in a blue moon.

If anyones interested hes trying to shift his old car, a black monaro VXR for £13k, if so please drop me a wee PM as I dont want to turn this into a 'for sale' thread.

went to Nissan today and they said they could code a key I sourced okay but it has to have never been coded into a car previously, sounds weird as theres a good few on sell on ebay as preowned, is this people just chancing their arm?

how do I know if its the base JDM model? its got leather but not heated and no cruise control, 18s but not rays and the brakes aint brembos, its a 52 plate so its certainly one of the earliest models

can these be programmed in okay?

Ive just bought the identical car to yours. I managed to get it insured for £400 with Adrian Flux. I'm 34 and the wife is 23. Give them a try!!

Fairly new to the 350Z frame so please forgive my lack of knowledge.

I have an imported 52 plate 350Z but I'm not sure if its got limited slipp diff as standard, I want to change the diff oil but my mate whos a mechanic checked his systme and it says the 350Z doesnt have LSD but I thought it would.

Also I've tried to get a replacement key and Nissan quoted me £120 odd with £50 to program it in which I thought was okay, however the key they got sent through didnt have alarm fob bit to it and the correct part/key is now coming in at over £300 plus programming, anyone know of any options other than just keeping the 1 key and praying we dont loose it?

Would you have a video clip of this on the car reving so I can get an idea of the sound, also what sorta money are you after, any idea at all?

If you can only source an aftermarket/louder system then I'd happily do a straight swap for my standard one (2002 model) of it fits

If u need to have more than 1 passenger, and their big enough to not need a child seat but shorter than 4.5ft the RX8 is the obvious choice, otherwise 350Z (in my opinion) is the superior car in pretty much all respects.

The RX8 is very thirsty on both oil and fuel and if you leave them sitting for any time at all the battery seems to run down (worked as a car salesman at a place that had a Mazda dealer and ones on forecourt always needed jumped). Also I find the RX8 quite tight for headroom where as there is plenty in the 350Z but thats obviously only a problem for taller people.

You need a slightly sunnier day to show off that valet.

Yeh think its meant to be sunny here April 13th next year between 12:00 and 13:25, will make sure I have it done again for that rare occassion.

Gave it a valet myself , worked as a car valet on and off for 10 years odd so take a pride in doin it all myself (and never happy with job anyone else does,lol).

Admiral looked like giving the best quote for us too, just gutted at £200 fee as I kept a policy going on my last car that I sold 18th Sept under my insurance cos advisement so we could put the 350Z on it when we got it then they say they cant insure it! I've asked them if they could reduce the fee on that basis, waitin on word back.

Did say to her about not putting her on it until shes 25 in Jan but didn't go down well and means I'd need 2 run her everywhere which would suck too.

Just want to get everythin sorted and get the car, lookin forward to it.

Nothings ever simple, despite checking online for an insurance quote for me and the girlfriend and getting two quotes under £750 my current insurer will not cover us on the car (she's 24) and is looking for near enough £200 to cancel my current policy!
