I'm currently getting 10mpg in my RX-8, doing all very short journeys when the engine's cold.
-
So whats makes a GT a GT?
try the search button
To be fair to him, the search engine ignores GT (unless you put quotation marks around it) as it's under three characters.
-
£7,500 is a good price. I doubt there's too many UK GT's with around 50k miles going for that sort of money.

Thanks for the replies so far, I have the pre-facelift xenons. I'm trying to find facelift bi-xenons but they seem to be very, very rare.
-
Sorry, should have mentioned that the photo in my original post is not of the 350, it's just to show people the kind of thing I'm after.
-
This is indeed a strange topic and I'm fully expecting this to drop off the first page with no replies, but does anyone have a picture of their 350's xenon beam pattern?
I haven't picked mine up yet, but when I turned on the lights I could see that they were a bit lop-sided and the cutoff was blurry. I'm very anal about such seemingly trivial things so it's been bugging me ever since. What I'm asking for is a picture of your xenon output against a light surface

Any replies, and I mean any will be warmly received.

This is of no use to you, but I'm in the same position as you; I have the drivers side only!

What colour are you after?

Without wanting to hijack or start a new thread, does anyone also have a gunmetal grey spoiler? PM me if so.

That forum is HUGELY insecure
The main thing stopping me getting an RX8 is the fuel economy and difficulty in selling the car one. There are loads about, loads for sale, have questionable image for reliability (rightly or wrongly)- put simply, the performance simply doesn't justify the economy.
I couldn't have put it better myself, that forum is probably one of the worst I've ever come across. Everyone is so sensitive and deluded it's absolutely ridiculous. I still have my RX-8 and it's a great car, but the fuel economy and general running costs are horrific. £30 of fuel gets me 85 miles town driving at a push. That's not to mention new coils, leads, plugs and inevitably a new engine down the line.
I've test driven a few 350's and in my opinion it's better than the RX-8 in nearly every aspect aside from practicality and handling. Yes, it's a bit nose heavy and the clutch is a weak point but as an ownership prospect it blows the Mazda out of the water. Which is whi I cannot wait to get one!

Despite watching it several times, I still don't know what I'm looking for here?
-
Are you the same guy on the RX8 OC forum? I see you had a change of heart if it is!

Christ. Are people really this precious?
The MOT place thought they'd be doing you a favour by giving your car a quick clean, and it's a nice gesture most customers would appreciate. If you objected to this so much the onus is on you to make them aware of this. Essentially you're having a go at them because you forgot to tell them not to wash your car?

Healthy finances
A rarity in today's society. Well done that man

A lot of these fake whiplash claims and crash for cash scams are done by Asian men. Look at the list of the top 20 and you'll notice nearly all will have a high percentage of Asians (more specifically British Pakistani's).
As an Asian lad I am completely and utterly embarrassed by how commonplace it appears to be in our community and what little regard these cretins have for other people. My friend thought nothing of claiming £2,500 in a false whiplash claim when the car he was sat in was hit on the side at fairly low speed. When I asked him what he was playing at, he just kind of shrugged and said "Everyone does it"
My insurance premiums have been going up since I was 19 despite getting older (and wiser). For example I was 20 when I had my Golf R32 and that was over £400 less than what I'm paying now for a god damn poncey little RX-8 at 23! . The insurance company put this solely down to false injury claims. Of course not all false injury claims are instigated by Asians but if the insurance company released the names of the arseholes who make these types of claims you'd see what I mean.
This is one subject that really makes my bloody boil! And I apologise on behalf of my ilk, we're not all t**ts I promise!

If you can get all that gear for £800 then I'll eat my hat.
-
The 3M tape is more than enough, I had a bootlid spoiler on my old A4 for more than 3 years and it didn't budge one tiny bit using just the tape. I would not be comfortable drilling holes in my car!
-
Great pictures, especially from a mobile phone. Really liking the rear bumper. How have you attached the license plate to the front bumper?
-
How much did you get them for in the end, as I'm also after a pair.
-
Compared to my RX-8 the 350 will be like a diesel.
Was getting 13mpg around town (in summer) and 20mpg on all motorway. Worst car ever!
-
£20?
There's a reason he ignored you in the first instance.
-
Thanks Colin, but I've already read that several times trying to determine which spec it has, but to no avail. Seems to be a mixture of all of them!
-
Don't have a link I'm afraid. What is this 'performance model' you speak of? I've never heard of it.

Sorry for a boring thread , but I saw a local ad for a '52 plate JDM, and I can see from the pictures it has leather seats, Brembo's, 18" alloys (not Rays) and steering controls on the left hand side. I phoned the chap up and he said it doesn't have BOSE or electric heated seats. Is this the ST version? I thought leather seats automatically meant they would be electric too?
Apologies once again for a rubbish thread
Golf R32 Biscuit Testdrive Review

I had the original Mark 4 R32 three years ago and that was absolutely fantastic. The noise, the character, the drive; it was a wonderful car. The MK5 is a lot softer and much less exclusive, but the 3.2 engine is an absolute gem. Could do with a little more power though.
