Only a complete arse takes up two bays when parking. It's just arrogant and sticks out like a sore thumb which makes your car more liable to vandalism. The only thing you can do, is park well away from the rest of civilisation.

As an aside, people always inspect their car when they come back from a supermarket and notice the dents, which very likely have been made before but this is the first time you've noticed it.

People just don't want thirsty cars any more and with the extra hike in April, there'll be even less interest. Try AutoTrader, that's where most people look first, although it is eye-wateringly expensive for a 6 week ad.

Given that Peugeot themselves only ever claimed a top speed of 143mph, I'd agree with you 150mph on the speedo perhaps, but I shudder to think of the length of road you'd need to get to that figure.

It's definitely because of the colour. Azure blue - when clean - is very striking. A little too striking for me, as I'm a reserved kind of chap and opted instead for the dulcet tones of Gunmetal Grey, which, although not quite as in-your-face, still gets heads turning.

Believe it or not, I actually prefer Azure blue, but went for GM instead because I live in a 'dodgy' area and didn't want to attract too much attention. Strange logic, which will be all the more ironic if some fu**er vandalises my Zed.

Nothing hugely against the rx8 as such, just not hugely keen on the styling

The original 276bhp engine ran from 2003-May 2006. The 296bhp engine was introduced in the facelift model which came with LED rear lights, bi-xenons and a slightly different interior. The 309bhp model was introduced in 2007, and also came with a slightly raised bonnet to accomodate the larger engine. The GT4 had the 296bhp engine in late 2005, just to confuse things a little more.

I wouldn't trust what sellers say on AutoTrader, when you're making the ad it gives you a choice of BHP, and most people just go for the highest one regardless of what they actually have.

Also, does anyone know of any viable alternatives to these two cars (in the 8-10k region); I'm keen to test a couple of others as it's the drive I'm interested in most (not RX8 though).

You could try swapping out for a non-electric leather seat from an import? They do exist.

You do realise that the HID bulbs fitted from the factory are already the best you can get? If you get bluer ones they actually decrease light output. There's a reason why manufacturers fit 4300k xenon bulbs from the factory, please don't be one of those imbeciles who has ridiculously blue headlights which just cause glare.

Right, a very long shot, but I need this gone fairly quickly as my Zed is gathering dust until the Mazda goes.

It's a Mazda RX8 in the high-power 231ps variant, full leather, xenons, BOSE, electric heated seats etc. Registered on December 17th 2004 so on a '54 plate. Just ticked over to 46k miles. FSH, tax until the end of the month and almost 11 months on the MOT. Drives beautifully, no problems with this one whatsoever. There are many absolute dogs out there with engine problems which is the reason why prices have fallen so much.

If anyone knows of someone who's after an RX-8 please consider mine as it's depriving me of precious Zed time. £4995 or best offer.

Bit of an odd one, but does anyone have a picture of their light output. i.e. a nighttime pic with the headlights on? My beam pattern seems to be a bit all over the place.

Everyone always complained about the xenons on the Zed but now that I have mine they seem perfectly adequate, not as good as my RX8 but certainly not terrible like my old S3.

Buying an RX8 instead of a 350Z. I now have both but I've been trying to sell the RX8 for nigh on 4 months and the Zed is just sitting in my garage until this bloody Mazda goes.

Great car to be fair, but the novelty wore off so, so quickly. The Zed is a lot better in nearly all aspects aside from practicality in my opinion.

Using the Tube is quite easy, just plan in advance and you'll be good to go. For each line there'll be a Northbound and Southbound service, make sure you use the right one!

 

Not all lines... some have an Eastbound and Westbound line.
