  1. I was driving around the M25 the other month when I got behind a car towing a trailer with a VW Camper that was totally rusty with holes all over it and I said to my mate 'Jesus he's got some project on there' then within minutes of passing it I aproached a car transporter with 10 Brand new VW Campers exactly the same as the one had just passed I could not believe it. We both just laughed  my mate said 'I think I would rather be driving new than spending thousands on a rusty hulk' I tend to agree.

  2. No I don't drive the Sunset Orange parked in the Broadway just wondered if you knew the car I drive a roadster but at the moment tucked under a cover till the better weather.

As for the garage I have seen his work and it's extremely good maybe that's why at the moment he's working on an Aston, Range Rover and porsche I have a small scratch on my nearside rear wing that's too deep to buff out so I'm going to get him to do the work on it. I would like to see your car when you get it back as it's the same colour as mine.

  3. Wow small world, mines getting a full nismo N1 fitted by a garage on chigwell Road (which comes under woodford i think?), its GM and JDM and a 2005 54 plate

Hope the shop owner didnt strap on a veilside he had sitting around instead :scare::lol:

Hi Mate, yes that's your Zed I have seen sorry for the mistake only the garage owner told me it was a Vielside and as I had never seen one I thought he was right anyway your car is looking very nice are you from that area and have you seen the JDM Sunset Orange one that parks up on the Broadway?

Can I ask what made you chose that garage I know he's always got Porsches and Astons etc in the workshop so he must be good.

  4. I went to my local BMW dealer today for a part on the wifes car noticed they had sets of snow tyres fitted to steel rims I enquired about them and the parts guy told me they have been selling pallets loads of them for all ranges of there cars , why worry what your car is going to look like for a few months just get some steel rims in Black and snow tyres after all you just need to get around in these conditions if you end up sliding and clipping a curb you won'y cry if you buckle a steel rim!

  5. Took my Vivaro van to a repair shop today in Woodford, Essex some dozy sod slide into the door last week, while there I noticed a Gunmetal 350Z having a full Veilside kit fitted the front bumper was just being bolted on anybody on here own the car?

  7. My car has only done 14,000 miles on a 56 plate and not yet had a P3 service so I thought I would pop into my local dealer Glyn Hopkins Nissan Woodford the salesman told me to go over the road to the Fiat garage (which they also sell) and enquire there. I spoke with a young lady asking for the price of the P3 service which she had to ask somebody, while I waited I could see into the garage area and bloody hell the place was rotten like some under the arches type garage I saw two mechanics in overalls that had not been washed for months and thought to myself no I'm not bringing my baby to this place. The young lady came back to me looked in a manuel and told me the P3 would be £403 incl VAT and if it needed plugs another £81 ( I swiftly walked out of the premises). :scare:

So can anybody here recommend a garage to do the P3 not too far from North London or is it not so important that Nissan do the service anyway.

  8. I took mine in for an MOT over the weekend and the guy said the back tyres are getting near to replacing and the fronts are wearing on the insides and recommended I get the tracking looked at. So as the car has been put to bed for the winter when spring comes I'm going for a set of tyres and tracking although the car feels OK with the steering I'll probably get the tyres from Camskills but can anybody recommend a garage to fit them and do the tracking.

  9. Im looking at getting a late 90's punto sporting B)

Mmmm that's the character I was thinking about.... B)

make sure the power steering is OK on these they eat electric power steering motors (it's the city button that does it) you have to replace the whole steering column  the breakers know that so they cost an arm 'n' leg.

  10. must be different DVLA offices have different arrangments now as I bought my car from a guy in Hull who had his own plate on it and the documents could not be done at the local DVLA office it had to be sent to them only, it took just over a week for go through. My brother just bought a plate and he has had the same here in London documents must be sent off it could not be done while you wait again it took about 10 days.

  11. left London a 7am this morning my car had a slight dusting of snow over it I drove round the M25 to the M1 and only little snow on the fields I got as far as Luton up the M1 and the snow was about an inch, drove to Solihull, West Midlands and it looked like the north has had the best part of the snow so far. I must say the roads were clear and the gritters were out in force the round trip of 320 miles was hassle free although I used up all my washer water keeping my screen and headlights clean. So Sunday for me will be washing the car which is filthy giving it a polish and putting the fitted Zed cover over it at least until the snow forecast eases up :)
