sold subject to payment and collection

I have had these since selling my zed months ago but not got round to putting them on here. As can be seen from the pics there is curbing and a little bubbling on 2 of them. Due to the location of the bubbling it is not really that noticeable but if you want them immaculate a refurb will cost approx £50 a wheel.
With this in mind and with the recent pricing of Rays on here I am looking for £350 (plus paypal fees if used) collected. I am located in Hartlepool. I am happy for the buyer to arrange courier if needs be.
For some reason the pics have come out smaller than I realised, so here is a direct link to the album

Yes, and been pulled twice for it. Luckily they were both ex servicemen so let me off with a verbal warning. Those were the couple of times I wasnt quick enough winding them down!
They have the right to fine you and make you remove them and I believe (although not 100% sure) give you points. The copper I was pulled by told me they were making moves to have them tested as part of the MOT. Not worth it imo, and in all honesty was a pain on the nights with vision on junctions. Mine were V similar to the ones above.
Once the front windows let in 70% of light you will be fine. They use a device to test the amount of light that can go through.
The rears can be as dark as you like.
Mine didnt . I cant remember the exact measurements now but they were over by a fair margin.

Well, I have just watched the car drive away with a new owner, and I am absolutely gutted! It made sense to sell though, and I can honestly say the new owners have got a very good car for their money.
May I take this opportunity to thank everyone on this forum who have given advice and saved me quite a bit of money along the way.
Mods can you lock this thread please

Right, I'm looking at part exing my 2 cars for one sensible car now, and as such I am reducing yet again to £8150. Ive put an ad on pistonheads again and may possibly try eBay.
The money I have been offered by a dealer for trade in is quite frankly ridiculous and as such I am open to sensible offers.
Just as an update to the ad for the car, MOT was passed with NO advisories and this morning I have replaced the battery with a brand new one as the last one was starting to suffer a little from the light use the car is getting.

My wing mirrors faded bizarrely about 6 months after I got the car. No where else just there, body shop sorted them out no bother though.
It just happens to be for sale to........

I know this thread is 3 months old but I've just replaced my bulb and thought it might help someone else as this thread was all I could find when I searched the other day -
The bulb you need is supplied by Halfords but it is marked up for a different car; the code is 580. The one they have marked up for the zed doesnt fit.
Hope this helps someone anyway

Hi matt,
Australia until June? Lucky Man!
The autotrader ad is up in a day or so and after that I was just going to leave this thread as the only ad for it and enjoy the car over the summer whilst not "actively" trying to sell the car - Ive just renewed the insurance, its booked in for MOT on friday so I may as well just enjoy. I think I'll be putting the private plate back on after the MOT too.
The car is still for sale, but I'm not going to make much effort to sell it if that makes sense? So definitely give me a shout when you get back from Australia.... and enjoy your trip, I am V jealous!

Cheers al
Just replied to your post but is also being authorised.
To answer your q, in Hartlepool and totally standard engine and brakes with exception of clutch change at 36k miles. If still interested then give me a shout and I'll pm you my mobile num.
And welcome to the forum!

Hi, based in Hartlepool.
No, everything totally standard, engine and brakes never been touched by anyone other than a Nissan tech during servicing.
Only thing that looks non standard in the engine bay is a polished plenum which is purely aesthetic.
Edit: the crap Nissan clutch was replaced at 36k with an exedy clutch. A quick search on this site will show numerous examples of the clutch failing.
Any other Q's PM me and I'll send you my mobile num.

The more I think about it the more it is making sense - you know as well as I do how good the red looks in the sun!

Right, I have just sorted next years insurance and I have a 10 day cooling off period so, I am dropping the price to £9000. If I dont sell the car in the next 10 days then I am keeping it for the summer.
I seriously cant believe I have only had one bloke come to see the car! I can understand why I had no interest in the first 6 months as I didnt really want to sell the car and so deliberately overpriced it, but at this price I am truly amazed. This car is immaculate.
Anyway, as I said, Im giving it 10 days to sell then this thread can be locked.
Note to Mods - To save me having to have this approved twice would you be so kind as to edit the price in the title for me too please

CNR opened this morning just above my order price, and has continued to rise. It may still be possible to jump aboard now, but the rapid rise this morning could also be matched by a few people taking the profits of the last couple of days and send it back below my entry price.
Im not going to run after this one, if it comes back down to my entry point of 8.25 then fine. As its now risen to about 9.5 this morning already, this may not be likely, but Im not going to chase this boat - if Ive missed it Ive missed it.
RMP look good - the gains in the last few days have been great, but while the upside for RMP may be greater with RMP if the projects they are in with RRL are fruitful - the downside coould be a lot worse if they hit dusters on those project than with RRL.
Im going to re-evaluate the above after doing a bit of research and seeing the latest news for CNR - perhaps a buy in of 8.25 was quite unrealistic, though under 9 may still be possible today - what are peoples thoughts on this, are we seeing a bit of ramping today which is pushing the increase on the back of the news higher than it should be, or is this share still well undervalued at 9/9.5 p?
Interested to hear your views.
Not sure what you think of Technical Analysis but the MACD still has a bit of distance and the RSI is looking like it is starting to level at 75.4. The slow Stochastics is the only thing giving a sell indicator (fast is not).
Not that this means everyone should rush to buy Monday morning, but possibly worth adding to the equation.

Yes mate, still for sale. private plate off and just received the new V5 so all good to go. Just give me a shout if you want any more details, and good luck with the astra!

Sorry, SOU. A post was made yesterday on the boards stating a placing was imminent. The poster said it was what was said at the Oil barrel conference, sp dropped about 7 % from where it was (the days high) and closed at that price. It was then confirmed (after closing) that the poster had misheard the info given at the conference by numerous sources - the sp climbed steadily today closing 20% up.
I just found it amazing that one post had such an effect on the sp and thus value of the company, unless of course I was missing something - which is why I asked 350z-uk's very own warren buffet
-
Anybody take my early March tip of SOU?
Bought at 2.05 - now 4.98
142% profit.
In 3 weeks.
Just bought AEX and SQZ if you want to hitch a ride.............................but it can get scarey.
Captain, whats your thoughts on THAT post yesterday on the iii board and advn board about the "placing"? I though it was a real eye opener to the effect those boards have on the sp. Amazing really seeing as though I could make a similar post as a "beginner PI" and possibly effect the sp.

Even if its not a scam, can you be bothered with the headache???
Ha ha, fair point
-
But can anyone think of what the scam would be? Or what would be gained from signing a car over to someone else?
I agree it screams scam but I just cant figure out exactly what the full scam is

Any advice, experiences or opinion welcome......
My partner is selling a private plate (R77 NEV if anyone is interested) on behalf of her grandad (Neville) which is on retention certificate.
I have spoken to a bloke who is interested but he has pointed out that as the plate is on retention it is currently in Neville's name. Now to transfer this to someone else apparently costs £75. However.... if Neville was to place the plate on a car it would be free - but the plate would still be in Nevilles name no matter who the car belonged to.
The bloke I spoke to tonight suggested that he sends me the V5 for his car, i go to my local DVLA office with retention certificate and V5 and say I have just bought the car. They will place the car in "my" (Nevilles) name, issue a new V5 in Nevilles name with the new reg. I will then send the V5 back to the proper owner who will change the name back to his own thus keeping the plate but saving my partners grandad the fee.
A few things with this concern me
1. Neville will own a car that he will never have seen nor will see, leaving him liable to anything that car is involved with.
2. Why would anyone add another owner to their car and trust a stranger with it just to save someone else £75
3. Quite simply it just screams scam.
I know what I would do and that is pay the £75, but I cant figure out exactly what a scammer would get from this, as any crimes committed in the car will easily be explained away and there is obviously a link back to the previous owner. Another thing (although not massively significant) is the fact that the bloke got in contact through ebay and has 149 positive feedback, so again there would be a link back to him there.
Any one come across anything like this before?

Price now dropped to £9600. Checked my insurance and it is due first week in April so would like to sell by then. Will be putting an ad on autotrader next week some time if I get no interest here.
