  1. I don't mean to pry or be overly nosey, but out of pure curiosity, what kind of trade in price did you get?

Dont ask those kind of questions its normally a very depressing and sobering answer.. All soon forgotten when you jump in the 370 though :yahoo:

I'm expecting something silly like £4k, which is exactly why I sold my Ducati to buy the Zed rather than trading in.

quite a bit more that that Kyle B)

  2. Mate you are in for a huge surprise, you will love it. I'm still on cloud 9 grinning like a cheshire cat.

Bet you can't wait, are you managing to sleep lol

I keep dribbling a bit of weewee every time i think about it lol. :yahoo:

  3. Well the Day is approaching fast now, finally pick the 370 up on thursday afternoon. Just been over to Nissan and it is all wrapped up in a Dust bag ready for the plates to go on and me to Dribble over :yahoo::yahoo::thumbs:

  4. It used to belong to Gazhull on here & then another member who's name I can't remember - he attended a SW meet last year though.

Theres a topic on this car on here somewhere, but basically the guy doesn't know what hes talking about

Gaz did spend a lot of money on upgrades before he sold it, the plenum and uprev at abby for definate, wheels and exhaust too.

  5. Pic's are straight from the camera without photoshop. Came up better than I was expecting

Allow me to doubt that, specially when there is a watermark on them. But the photos are superb, worth having them in the calendar for January, no doubt! Nice car!

Great shots but i agree i think a wee bit of tweeking went on here, Dont get me wrong i think they look superb.all of them :#1:

  6. I seem to have missed out on the meets down your way Dave, only met Buster the other weekend....

Enjoy the new toy, seems to be a trend for 2012 as the prices are coming down now that the 370 has been out for a while and becoming more affordable

Havent you been to the meets at port solent Dave? i thought i had met you at one of them..I think i Have swopped at the right time as the book price for a 2005 350gt is around the 7000 mark now, So anyone buying a 350 is laughing now with the prices, I did my deal with westover nissan in Poole and i couldnt have wished to meet a nicer couple of blokes that i dealt with, there was no hassle or pushing to buy just pointed me in the right direction.

  7. :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

Nice one Dave B) you lucky so and so

......... my 370z with the steering wheel on the wrong side seems so far away :console:

I don't really have to say it, but :worthless:

No pics as yet but as soon as i pick her up i will post some, And Bob its not hard staying true is it with a Zed...pure Car magic.. :drive1

  8. Well i was going to write a big thing about selling my beloved Zed, untill i read will350z bit, I was in tears by the end of it.

Anyway i am part exing my zed next week and must say it is the best car i have owned, it has cost me very little in repairs just tyres and the normal every day bits. But she is getting on a bit now 2005 gt. So she has to go, only done 51000 miles tho, I have had her for nearly three years now so it will be hard to part with her next week,I Have met quite a few friends on here over the last couple of years, Bob/chris/Zugara. and the little one who is buggering off abroad to live. lol..

Anyway i have test drove a few cars over the past few weeks, A SL500 didnt do it for me nor did the couple of Porches either, And THEN I Saw her.... a gorgeous Black 370gt...And she;s now mine..2010 8000 miles and bloody gorgeous, I needed to have a automatic as having a few problems with the knees so she is perfect. So not leaving just moving onnnnnnnnnnn :yahoo:

  9. I noticed today that i have some very fine scratches on the rear arch of my zed.. they are very fine and I can only see them if I look very closely. Just wondering what is the recommended way to try and polish them out?

    Is T-Cut a no no ?

I have given a simple solution above but how much detailing experience do you have and what products do you have to hand?

Just to make sure you get a solution that suits you.

I would rate myself at somewhere between noob and total noob

I have some autogleen polish at my disposal but don't mind going out to buy additional bits if required

I can confirm he is a noob...past his car the other day and i think if he leaves it dirty you wont notice the scratches :lol::lol:

  10. Just been to run my eye over a possible step sideways and go for a soft top, there is one for sale its a GM 2005 51000miles rays a bit scuffed but seen worse, not too bad a condition overall, mine is a 2005 black gt quite good condition with 49000 on the clock, new tyres and looking quite nicely polished if i say so myself. the ragtop is on the market for £10,000 less a fiver, I asked him how we could do a deal and he Said give me 4 grand and we can do a deal, Well i might look a bit slow but F$%&K me i aint. the wife bless her looked into my eyes and said...come on lets go for a pint..bless her. Well on the way back from having a pint it looks like its sold as a nice bloke was shaking the chaps hand by the car. Merry Xmas

  11. I think Dave was attempting humour.

So far as I know, he has only ever owned his black Zed, and never a GT4 one in yellow.

You should get the garage to provide a HPI check for your piece of mind regardless.

And for future reference, you can do multiple quotes within the same reply. So no need to write 4 seperate replies in such a short space.

Hook line and sinker eh! Nice welcome to the "noob" Dave, remind me to ignore all future comments from you ;)

Yeah that's a good idea, I'll phone the garage tomorrow and ask them to provide an HPI check for me.

Noted your point all quotes, another noob mistake, but you were nice about it. Take note on how to treat newcomers Dave :)

Really appreciate everyone's feedback so far, much appreciated! Makes me feel more comfortable about ending the Z world!

I've been told I've made a mistake buying a number plate for it that ends with "ZZZ"........... my only justification is "Z" is also a nickname.........I don't think I'm going to get much love for doing this :)

HEHEHEHEHE Just kidding Buddy, its a very nice looking motor well Done and enjoy it,
