  1. I once had a fine while i wasn't even driving the car!!

i had plates that had the honeycomb effect from back in the days and i woke up one morning to find a ticket stuck to my windscreen.

i though it was one of my mates having a laugh with a parking ticket but after reading it was shocked.

they stopped at 1 in the morning to give a parked are a fine!!!

when you come to sell the car it might make a slight difference but we dont have these machines as an investment anyway do we?

  6. Sorry, should have searched first, was too angry to think!

Cheers for pointing me in the right direction though.

Nixy, that isn't the half of it, amongst other things he has chewed THROUGH my kitchen wall into my living room! :bang:

My dog once tried to chew through to next door!!

She got all the way through the plaster!!

Good luck with the key mate

  7. Thats right mate, use the base colour on the chip making sure the area is clean, when dry about 20mins use the damp gause to lightly smooth over the area and then cover with the top coat. Be sure not to shake the clear coat too much as this fills it with bubbles and make the repair look milky.

Its not perfect but its not too bad either. I actually sacked off the clear coat as it discoloured the base coat so i just applied plenty of polish to protect the base colour.

    Hope this helps a little.

    V.

    Thats exactly what i did.

the gunmetal works and looks spot on but the clear coat is just crap.

touch it up and wax it mate

good luck mate  - I feel for you - had similar fun in the past it never rains eh! :byebye:

I was extemely lucky and it came out with relative ease.

down to CS for tracking first thing then all sorted!! :D

ill take a few pics this time for all to see.

  10. the story so far..............

first i had a nut round off on my spacers because some idiot at kwick fit over tightened them. (i needed to change the front wheel hub because the bearing was gone)

then after 3 hours of trying my mechanic cut it out but wrecked the spacer.

i then bought another pair of spacers and because they were 25mm instead of 20 i had them put on the back.

i also had the rear wheel bearing changed.

yesterday i was happy as larry driving my car and then i realised that when the steering is at 11o'clock im going straight,

so i realised that i need to spend another load of money to get the laser alignment done again. so a trip on monday to CS.

this morning i found a funny looking thing next to the rear wheel of my car.(on my driveway) picked it up, looked like a locking wheel nut but without the thread. looked at the wheel and basically the locking nut was broken. so now i have another problem with removing that from the stud! WTF is going on?

if i get the alignment done and then theres a load of banging going on afterwards to remove the remains of the lock nut then it might be knocked off again!

this is all made worse because i work away from home all week so im only here on weekends and monday mornings!!

sorry about the rant guys

How do i remove the remains of the nut?

its basically just a ring now. i feel its going to be almost impossible to get something to grip it tight enough to remove it?
