  1. The bite just takes a little getting used to. after that it's all good :D

Just wait til you get back into a "normal" car with slushy clutch/gearbox, its horrible! I love the direct feel after changing the clutch and flywheel, feels awesome making nice smooth changes with perfect rev matchs :drive1

    Yep! :teeth::thumbs:

  2. does this mean that my tow eye wont fit? (16mm)

I bought it because my original is missing and might need it in an emergency. I'll fit it in April when my bumpers coming off anyway. I hope some of you guys can get a good guide up.

Andy, great idea! with the right bolt size and a few nuts I'm sure that the car could be towed with it!!

  3. How are you feeling the clutch a few weeks on?

    :)

The clutch still feels great. I still love the flywheel too!!

I can understand why some people wouldn't want the lightened fly but im very happy with my choice!!

    07/07 roadster

I'm pretty sure they are just reflectors.

    Anyone else?

  5. I've been looking for some new wheels for the past few months. After a long time of searching, and running into some dead ends everytime I found wheels I wanted (and could afford!), I think I have found some that I'm happy with...my standard Rays!

I've just fitted spacers and given her a nice clean and they suit the car so much more now and actually look great! The difference the spacers make's is unbelievable, it's like I'm seeing the Rays properly for the first time - and I love them!

I tried the 20mm on the back and they still looked slightly too tucked up so put 25mm on back and 20mm on the front and they look perfect, much more agressive stance and the lines of the side of the car seem to flow more smoothly.

What I may look at doing is going for a colour change when I get them refurbed at some point, maybe something a little more shiny (but not chrome!) or a different coloured spoke and lip combination....

I have the same spacer, 25 and 20's. Also looking to refurb in different colour :)

Could you possibly ask you neighbour permission and clamp it for being in the wrong space?

That way you find out who it is (leave your contact number under the wiper) and you can demand release cost to the extent of the damage to your car :teeth:

good idea but hasn't the law on clamping been changed recently which would make that illegal

    ................and .........................

I can just see it now.........clamped the Fiat last night ..... went to get the Zed this morning ..... was confronted by a gorilla ....... am writing this from hospital with my good hand

  7. Update -

The policewomen came by she assess the damage and said its pretty clear cut that its the Punto - she also pointed out a mark on my driver side door too - ARRRGHHHHH!!!!! (must have been when i reverse parked) :surrender: i give up!!

She went off to speak to both the residents of flats 5 and 6 - Why 5 aswell??

Well the estate agent who looks after these flats said that when he called flat 6 about it, they told him that the Fiat Punto is not theirs, nor do they own a car and that they are pi**ed off because somebody else is using their parking space without informing them and suggested that it was flat 5 that was using an additional parking space...

She went to flat 5 after being told that by flat 6 and they said that the Fiat Punto is not theirs either - hmmm...

Its a mystery - i asked her if i could put a camera in the car, but she needs to get back to me to see if its legal to do so.

Shes going to do a check on the Fiat and see who it belongs to and try and trace it that way...
