Hi Guys,
Right I re-wired in the JDM ballasts and put in EU (road legal) bulbs into the headlights. Now, I did the drivers side first to check that I had wired correctly and JOY I had a good quality light. I then wired up the second, passenger side light and no lights. The main beam works fine, as I understand this is on a different circuit, however, no lights from either now.
I thought a 15 amp fuse had blown but no, they all seemed fine. Does anbody know whether the HID's work on a different voltage or need a higher rated fuse?
Many thanks
Al

Sorry yeah thats what I thought. I was going to buy some HID bulbs

Hi Paul,
The ballasts are still intact but they have put it halogen H7 bulbs, but these seem very naff. I was considering re-wiring the HIDs back in for a bit mre brightness but still keeping legal.
Would this help?

I have the JDM ballasts so I was going to wire those back in at the weekend. I just didn't know whether anyone else has done this and as a result improved head light brightness

Hi Guys,
I was wodnering if anyone has had there headlight ballast re-wired (wired back in again), and did this along with the appropriate buld give you better illumination?
Currently my car is in the SVA ballast by-pass mode and the low beam is awful.
Cheers

My car has recently developed a loud metallic rattle. I have replaced both banana bars, and 6 weeks of rattle free motoring.

Alessandro I think that would be a good Herts meet up. I need to pick some bits up from Japex as well

Hi Guys,
I've got a slight problem with my front inner control arm bushes, as they have split. The arm itself is fine and it is just the bush that I want to replace. Does anyone know where I can get an standard / uprated replacement for these parts??
The standard arms seem horrificly priced and I am replacing most of the other bushes with whitline replacements.
Many thanks

Hi Nealip,
I have done 5 days with it so far. I used to race Formula Ford and thought the brakes could take the same punishment
The car itself has done 40,000 miles but that is generally fairly relaxed and crusing to and from work. There is sometimes a bit of cheekyness.

Hi Nelip
I was at Bedford about 2 weeks ago then Snetterton yesterday. Bedford I feel did the damage as they were grumbly on the way home but I think Snetterton finished them off. I was only doing a warm up 5 hot laps and then a cool down lap, for my track sessions and didnt get any hint of fade with my set up. I now feel that the discs are the weak link

Hi Ekona,
I am running the brembo discs and calipers, but DS2500 pads, Motul RBF600 fluids and HEL lines. Do you know if the PF discs compatible with DS2500 pads?
Many thanks,

Hi people,
I've done something rather silly and have gone and warped my front discs as results need new ones.
For track work I will heat treated discs to avoid further warping in future. Have people got any experience with and particular discs that they have found good?
Right off to wash the Zed, many thanks in advance
Many thanks,
Al

Here are some owners of s15 who have had a drop in tax from £405 to £245
Explained quite well on the AA website

I orginally taxed it in Jan and it was £405, but then brought a bagner for winter driving, so put it on a SORN. I retaxed it yesterday and now it was £245 for 12 months.

Hi all,
With the trackday season fast approaching I have decided to get a 4 wheel alignment done. Does anyone know of a reputable garage around Hitchin or South Bedfordshire?
Many thanks

Ah ok so it just could have been the corroded fuses. It was in the fuse box behind the battery.
Do you know of any other light related fuses?
