  1. I assume you are talking about the wheel spacers. They will not affect your camber and if your tyres are already wearing to the inside i suspect a worn bush or some other element of the rear suspension.

I have 25mm rear spacers fitted and do not have tyre wear issues

OH in answer to your quest I fitted my own in about an hour just grab a mate to press the footbrake when you are tightening the fronts--makes life so much easier

  2. For the weight of the car and the engine size economy isn't bad. Best I have had over 70 miles was 34mpg and that was really hardly touching the pedal at all and driving at about 45mph :scare: and usually i average 23-25 mpg :D

When you sit down and think about it --its really sad that you can remember all the cars you owned :headhurt::drive1

  4. Basically every car is different--I went for a part correction which removed 99% of any swirl marking plus an interiar tidy up seats etc. :p

The entire job took about 10 hrs and cost £160 but again that is dependant on the finishing products used :headhurt:

The car looks better than new again :yahoo:

  5. Hi

Its been a few months since I bought the Z and over the weekend I left it into a local guy for some paint correction carried out :D

I didnt have any pictures of the entire car before the work done but i have this taken from a local website

The work was done by---http://www.detailni.com/

    Thanks for looking :band:

  6. Just an interesting one--Has anyone run their Z on E85 fuel. Maybe not necessarily for ecomony (or green issues) but for performance alone--I was thinking of getting some for a track day

Can the ecu adapt fuelling to cope with this??.....

the octane is circa 100 to 105 ron :yahoo:

  7. Personally I would ask them to check out the control arms and if they will come back and say they are fine and it subsequently transpires they are faulty then the problem will be theirs for mis-diagnosis of the fault. (they are the experts after all)

Sorry its maybe a backhand way of apportioning blame at the dealers door but believe me if you pay to have the anti-roll bar bushes/links replaced and this is not the cause they will be quick to charge you more. :boxing:

I know from experience as i had both control arms replaced and they appear to be a weakness in the Z. as is the rear antiroll bar bushes and drop links.

The droplinks are circa £35 each and you should be able to fit them yourself or a local independant could help

  8. My Zed and I believe a lot of others are a pain when cold however when warmed up it is fine when shifting from 1st to 2nd. I believe there is an issue with the synchro in sixth and i have noticed if I go from 4th to 6th or speedily from 5th to 6th it will crunch .

You could always try changing the oil (remember it is a gl4 on the early models and DO NOT put in GL5 as this will destroy the synchro rings as they are bronze/brass) This may help your cold shifts
