The low volume is easily avoided by simply choosing a headunit with good high voltage pre outs of 4-5v mine us just as loud as it was pre change .
-
The standard speakers and sub are not that bad if you run them of a decent aftermarket headunit. I have an alpine 9886R and with the imprint processor doing its thing the bose speakers and sub sounded very good with plenty of bass coming from the bose sub.
Although very good I like others wasnt happy as i like my music so i started all over and went JL Audio throughout. Having the sub behind the drivers seat can be annoying as it punches you in the back.
Hebei kinda like my vibe being right behind me ,

Yes there is a tiny amp attached to the plate in the sub which gets a filters signal from the main amp. You can keep everything and just change the headunit just getvthe right loom and a head unit with front and rear pre outs

I have berks too , anti foulers build in too although I did get a cel a few weeks back but I cleard that with a reset .

quick question , did they dyno the car in 4th or higher ?
-
definatly confirm the aoe having raced on both draga nd track agasint alot of hondas over the weekend , teg will be quicker in the twistys due to light weight but as soona sit slows downt hey cant pull out , stright up drag teg is mig 14's , z low 14's to just in to 13.9 lightyl modded ace driver and i tihnk the m3 is just bit less so good river could win out in either vs average joe.
as for track vs tuned civic im sure he'l on later (cant remember your name sorry) one our boys rather wound out a mate of mine on sunday .. very modded civic (coily's , brakes , stripped , 260bhp and some suspension tweaks) , couldnt loose the Z !
faster in one the more open bits but gets ahmmerd out of hairpins , evenin i found thatas a novice the Z pulls out fomr low speed bends so well.

which line did you order , hell or goodridge ?
either way post up when you get them done as im after some now just to cure the lilttle bit of spongeyness but im not sure if the extra for goodridge is worth it or just get Hell plus find some extra clamps.

well from my track time today at rockingham id say braided lines first ! i had barely any fade of most of which id say most of it was due to the hose expansion but ive got slotted/drilled disc ans ferrodos all round.
-
great day , loved the track action just a massive shame i c*cked my camera and got zero footage
anyone get any shots of the track time ?
-
3 but not for speeding , had some A hole right up my rear coming off the motorway so ran an AMBER to aoiv geting hit and the pigs pulled me for it , yes i am bitter !
3 years ago so nearly clean , no speeding .

My guess would be a previous owner had the knob off before and has threadlocked itback on . Take the surround off so you can get dime mole grips or alike directly to the base of the shaft to hold it and probably a helper to undo the knob .

I got them from a forum member used. They are about £450 new , pretty sure a couple if the traders have them and i think zmanalex may have some still. Definatly worth it for me finally unleashes the z exhaust noise

ive switched from 3g to 4 and the iphone no longer works correctly wiht my head unit
-
go race cats , will pass mot least they should just , if you get the berks like i have they come with anti foulers so wont throw a cel.
you will gain a little power but not alot , sounds a bit louder more tuned .

ive got a tube wiht a metal venturi funnel on the end runnign from right at the bottom of my grille back up to the air box and besides from tonnnes of buggs (i have to empty it out my filter every so often) no water gets sucked up in very heavy rain although ive not been silly enough to try driving through any deep puddles that may splash right over it . should still be ok though as you have to maintain an seal wiht the water or it would just fall out.
-
just so were all clear when and where are we meeting ?
-
Tyre sizes
in Wheels
should do , front will fine definatly , back should do as its only 10mm over standard but may bulge a bit as theyre only 8's but i cant see it being an issue. less others know better >?
