  1. I love it when people take photos of my cars. Granted it's usually kids with mobile phones who don't have anything else to do with them  but still it's a big compliment

Reminds me of last summer, a colleague came into the office saying there were a load of people around my car and taking pictures.

It turns out there were a load of Chinese people from a company my company has a considerably interest in over for training and a fact finding exercise. They were there again the following day too.

They were all taking turns posing for pictures. The office joked I should go out and sell tickets... my car is by no means a perfect example. I'll let Ricey comment on my tailpipes.

Bronzee is quite correct though, he may have been drooling over a DB7 while he was getting into his MX5 a few years back.

  2. Have you checked your brake fluid level?

I ahd the same and checked the fluid level and that was low... however I checked my pads before topping up and they were low too so replaced and the fluid level retuirned to almost normal and no lighty.

  3. I'll be getting the 60mbs upgrade too however when we last doubled we were one of the last area's to get it :(

However i'm considering moving in the same area as Jetset and if thats all they have then I'll have to scrub the area off my list.... I need good connectivity with a relatively low latency and Virgin cable is superb. It's one of the considerations of finding the right place.

ADSL even seems hit and miss in Chester too.

  5. There should be a 'cradle' - a mobile phone sized piece of plastic with a slider. Thats where the adaptor sits.

My MY06 Roadster doesnt have the connection for the adapter in the cubby holder, I thought Nissan never installed the wiring loom and the steering wheel controls on any of the Roadsters?! I thought it had something to do with not being able to get a satisfactory quality level through the microhone when the roof is down.

  7. Ha ha ha I was waiting for the needs a clean comment

We had an item in mind thats why we went there... but we did go along the coastal road up to Holywell when we left as we hadnt been along that way for a while. We both commented on how run down it is (more so than I last remember)... we are considering buying a place together so we tend to have a drive to places we havent been to for a while.

Upton is favourite (thats where she is from) but far overpriced for what you get so Ewloe/Buckley/Penyffordd triangle sort of area is looking good but lousy public transport links into Chester... we still need to socialise :p

  8. Yeah I hear you with regards to the area this is located in but I'm from a very similar background to those places you mention but I still remember to put my day clothes on as well as take my manners with me when I go shopping.

I actually thank people when I hold doors open for them and they fail to acknowledge my existance... actually I do this in work too and it gets some funny looks.... also it's not limited to the lower end of the shopping scale either.... as I said I'm just a grumpy old git :teeth:

  9.

Its all a bit pajama party in there isn't it!

They can be like that and I'm not sure why it just seems to be Asda.... mind you the little one is Saltney is a rather interesting experience.

That said my real gripe with stores these days are that you as a customer spending hard earned cash in the store seem to be a mere inconvenience to them.... and Morrisons seem to be top of the pile for this.

Some (Laura my other half) would say I'm just a grumpy old git

  10. Yep 11 degrees near Northampton last night and 9 degrees on my drive in. I nearly put the roof down but there was a little bit of rain so I didnt.

I remember last year it was seriously cold and we even had snow.

Wuss, I did last night... only time you need to worry about rain is when you aren't moving :teeth:

Hopefully be able to on Christmas day too..... and I'll be looking out for a Z4 with it's hardtop on around Chester

  11. See now that's the primary reason i never considered a z4 before because I'm not a fan of the look I'd convertibles in general.

Hope the roof works! Not bothered to take the roof off yet!

Hard top off, Roof Down, Heater on :drive1

    :teeth:

    +1

    +2 :teeth:

You get a lot of looks.... most of them not for the right reasons though

  12. I must admit I'm quite a reserved person (until I know you/you know me - Ahaaa) but I will wave.... except when the girlfriend is in the car as she jsut laughs at me so i tend to try and be sly about it

Oh and she does/did know Ricey friom School, the stories I could tell.... just joking not a bad word to say!

UNBASHED I don't remember anyone waving at me (azure Roadster) so if it was me that ignored you sorry... if it was a Coupe, yeah I've found there are a couple of azures around and they dont typically acknowledge you.

Yet to see Squee around though.

Oh and if I'm spotted after mid this week please post up! I'm away so it willl be my girlfriend - good to keep tabs on her :teeth:

  13. I seem to remember a friend telling me about this in his RR sport, his headunit would show the driver sat nav and the passenger dvd/tv etc. without glasses... i didnt get a demo mind when looking around

In fact yep, here's an article about it:

    http://www.trustedreviews.com/news/Rang ... ouchscreen

That's a slightly different thing, works on sending two images out at different angles, so perfect for a car where you can predict roughly where people are sitting. not sure it would work so well for a living room unless you could adjust the viewing angles to suit your particular seating setup.

    DB

Agreed, pretty impressive still. But you can pretty much predict where the two teenage gamers are going to be sat that the Sony product is aimed at....

  14. I did see you Ricey... I was quite embarassed how dirty the car was. Very busy at work right now and weekends I tend to try and spend time with my GF. Must at least polish my exhaust tips though

She thought she recognised you actually, she's born and bred in Upton By Chester.

I tend to go through town around 7am then on the A55 on way home to Hellsmere Port during the week then I'm Saltney way over the weekends. I'm keeping my eyes open for you guy's even if I get called "sad" :bangin:
