Loads of threads on here relating to performance gains via various mods / uprev reflashes etc. Try a search.

Bottom line is, without spending serious money you're never going to achieve significant gains in power. You can certainly do something in terms of increased driveability, in particular mid-range torque.

No need to remove it. You can just tuck the cable behind it.

Up the A-pillar would be the easiest way. Pull the weather strip away and you'll see where the trim attatches. I would just push the wire behind the weather strip and leave it at the top of the A-pillar

New ones are from Japspeed. There have been a few fitment issues but they still seem quite popular, and I'm assured they are just as loud as the ESR ones
