im suprised no one has mentioned this yet?? Pretty much drifted (not elegantly) down the whole of a dual carrage way in the middle of both lanes due to no road being gritted enough. anyone else have any troubles today?

Just a recommendation for anyone that needs a bodyshop in West Midlands area, had a really good job done by a company called BodyWorksPlus and gave me a fantastic price and was a sound guy. Sorry about the two posts, im going to finally after a year of saying "ill do it next week" I am going to change my reflectors on the front end for the clear ones. Will the front bumper come off without a special key and how are the reflectors fitted are they screwed into the plastic? Is there a guide anywhere on fitting that would save me a lot time and cuts.

Just received my new sat nav dvd for the stock satnav system, i noticed its the newer dvd version (blue disc not the brown). Are there any updates on it or anything?

Good news! After following martinmacs suggestion of speaking to customer service it has helped me win my battle against my local nissan. They were telling me I had to pay for the cd as it was not covered, however nissan have contacted the garage and told them that they are going to fit the cost of the DVD as I complained that they have not followed up my request for someone to contact me and that the fact I was being messed around. So on Monday they are dropping me off a new satnav DVD- result! So im guessing that if you are having problems with your dealer I suggest you speak to customer service to get things resolved! Thanks for the help! Lets just hope it actually works and my satnav will finally be repaired!

Just had news back from the dealer who are now saying it is the DVD itself and they are telling me this part was not covered in the warrenty?? Surely it would be as it came as a unit???

Car is back in with the dealer today as they still have not resolved and admit they do not know what the issue is. I don't know what to do anymore. They said they cannot open up the actual unit itself as it is made by a company called Clarion. Furthermore they have come back to me and said if it is a CD issue then its not covered by warrenty?? Surely it is as it is part of the sat nav unit? I emailed Nissan Customer Service but noone has come back to me with any sort of feedback. Feel a bit lost on the situation can anyone offer any sort of guidance on what steps to take? Thanks

I asked my sister to drop the car off for me this morning and they have now sent her home saying that I need to tell them exactly what goes wrong and when! This has totally infuriated me as I have spoken to them three times explaining what the problem is and when it happens. This is the second time I have taken my car to them to fix the sat nav with no outcome! I have already described that sometimes the sat nav loads up after 5 mins then in the next following 5 mins it will crash and the picture will remain frozen until engine is turned off. Or alternatively my sat nav will not load up for 15 mins then the screen will turn black. I simply want them to replace but they are saying that the sat nav unit is not a nissan part it is made by an another company so if they remove the unit it will have to be examined by that company. Why can they not just remove the unit and fit a new one. Really starting to annoy me now.

Don't think its The Sat Nav was fine for over a month with the new windscreen, problems only occured when the DVD came out and was put straight back in. Never had any issues with signal, the GPS logo will go grey for a split second but never had any issues of losing signal.

Yep UK car never had a sensor on my windscreen its that white box thing attached to the sunglasses holder they are refering to.

Well I brought the issue up to them 2 weeks ago when the warrenty was still in but the warrenty ran out on the 20 September but since I took the car to them before the warrenty finished and they still did not fix the issue then they are having to do it under warrenty. They said that the sensor near the window could effect the signal as it only had 1.5 inches of clearance instead of 4inches. I just got off the phone to them and told them to disregard that theory and find the real problem as the signal would not make my screen go black. The investiagtion continues- lets see with what they come up with next... I did change my badges wonder if they pin the blame on that??

My car is in the dealer for repairs on sat nav as it keeps freezing and generally does not work. The dealer has just called me and said that it is most likely because I have replaced the windscreen and that the sat nav has stopped working because the windscreen is different and has effected the signal of the sat nav??? Im sure thats absolute b*****s!

Nice post - Currently me and some friends are considering doing a similar trip next year in a convoy however we do want to see some sightseeing and would probably do the trip in 2 weeks over several countries. Was it hard to find accomodation on each trip? How much planning went into the routes taken?

My Sat Nav has completly stopped working after I took out the DVD for about 20 seconds and then put it back in. Now the Sat Nav will not load up at all!! So strange has anyone else had this problem? It just keeps saying loading. The cd is not scratched and is in perfect condition. Im considering going to Nissan for them to replace the DVD as I am still under warrenty im sure this is covered in warrenty is it not? Or is there anything else I should try. I am certain it is the DVD as I have put the same DVD in my friends Navara and it does not work on his either.

Just come back from the garage and they have told me that I have a faulty spiral cable and that is why my airbag light is flashing. Car is still under warrenty until the 20th Sept, and they have told me they have to order the part and hopefully it will arrive before that date - any ideas of how long ordering a part would take, surely 11 days for delivery is more than enough? And the fact that the problem was registered whilst in warrenty it should cover that?

Same thing happened to me but they had the cheek of nicking two of them then coming back the next night for the other two. Went and bought a pair of lockable ones from ebay- only cost about £8.

I bet you could clean yourself with those products.

Warrenty runs out in the next days I am already talking the car in to reset the airbag light, just wondering what other things I can have replaced while im there under warrenty. Don't think there are any mechanical problems, just wondering about cosmetic stuff like rear plate bulb and scratched doorcards etc.. are these covered?

Thanks, just unessesary hassle, going to call the guy who did the windscreen and make him sort it out since he is the one that messed up my windows! May have to do the reset on the window though. Guys can anyone bring some light on this issue for me please? 'Also i still have the flashing air bag light and have tried the fix written on the forum but it does not work for myself as the light stays on, the car is still under warrenty would Nissan look at the problem and fix it under warrenty?'
