  1. Up to 120C but have to back off due to coolant temps. I have seen 133C when NA though so guess this would keep going if coolant was ok. My theory is coolant seams closely linked to oil temp, I'll see if reducing oil temps causes coolant to follow it down? I know it's a different platform and setup, but i had the same issue last month at the Nurburgring in my E46 M3. Oil temps were below 120 (the manual says 80 - 120 is normal), but coolant was hitting red. I was going to do a bleed of the coolant to a different type.
  2. Cant see the pics Tim, please edit post.
  3. What is your oil temps on track currently Tim?

  5. I was there a few weeks ago in my M3. You did a sub 8 min? You don't mean a sub 9 do you? Really quick nonetheless, i think i was low 9 mark. Wasn't really pushing too hard because of temps and also needed to get home in one piece. Do you have any mods on your 135i?

  7. You got any engines for sale?
  8. Try these guys, i've heard great things: https://www.facebook.com/Turbo-Bernies-Blowers-352262361478082/
  9. Are you turbo ? Na supercharged
  10. Haha - probably not. Are you going to complete your build, including the car itself for £25K? - if so, that's pretty good going imo. Even I've spent more then that over the life of the car.
  11. Woah - so many accountants on here! - Must all have slow cars Put simply if you do a conversion nowadays it may not be worth it because a comparable car, e.g. E92 M3 is cheap enough and does 420 odd bhp out of the box. I have been through 2 engines on my Vortech so am deciding the next step. £10K may just be doable, but if something goes wrong need to factor that in. I would treat with caution doing TT on a stock motor. IF you're going all out with forged motor then maybe.... but again nowadays for the price of that you could be close to a R35 or 996 Turbo which are holding and going up in value respectively. Choice is yours. I absolutely loved mine while it lasted - still considering its future.
  12. Hi - have you sold everything?
  13. Any updates to this my friends?
  14. Hi All, 2 people have messaged to sell me their cars Just to clarify I need just the motor (02-05). Good condition, low miles please. Thanks

  18. Alex - updates here please. I need motivation to get my project going.
  19. That is superb. Think I may upgrade my M3 next year to a GT-R. Do you lower the boost when on track? - I'm assuming your motor is still stock? How is the zed going - is that seeing any track time too. Btw, i need to message you about another VQ motor would you believe Indeed, Track Pack Edition' Just normal upgrades as the track pack already has some superb enhancements over the normal 35. Running Ecutek with a stage 4.5 with circa 720bhp, unsure of lbs/ft as never been on a dyno. Some minor suspension and geo tweeks. Running AP J Hooks with Carbotech XP12, Castrol React Racing Brake Fluid and Goodridge lines. MPSS all round: 305 rears and 285 fronts: XL walls as not run flats. GR6 running 2016 software and Pentosin Racing Fluid, complimenting a recent tranny upgrade. Quite a quick car, lapping KRC in high 57s and 0 - 60 in 2.45secs which is not bad for a curb weight of 1740kg. Some pix of when I did the stage 4.5 last year:
  20. Vortech is too damn loud. Why not consider a V2 Ti spec?
  21. Definitely thicker oil, esp if you drive your car hard!
  22. Alex, That's a GT-R track edition? - What mods has it got?
  23. Bloody hell read all 24 "pages". Should sleep now. Thank you Adrian for making me sleepy in the office tomorrow. p.s. I know i'm about a year late
  24. Why did you opt for Dodge twin pumps? - Would a single Walbro 400 or something equivalent intank not be adequate?
  25. A friend of mine works for a BMW dealer and recently Shmee was in touch. Wasn't very pleasant to deal with apparently to put it mildly.
