  1. I wonder if someone can help, i was due to get my alloys fully refurbed this week, but due to being taken ill and being in hospital I had to cancel. Im now at home, but cant drive yet, so could be a perfect time for someone to take the car and have the job done.

I have bronze 18" rota gtr wheels, i was going for a dark grey, but the guy who was originally doing them made up a sample and i didnt like it, so i think im going for a silver colour.

Im in stoke on trent, any local companies you recommend?

    Much appreciated.

  3. Thanks for the responses, it's a shame as they did such a good job, the first quote i had was £980 + materials!! After a lengthy conversation of me just saying i want just the bonnet spraying, and them refusing to without all the blending i told them to forget it. This bodyshop was my second quote, £150+vat, and i thought if it's a shade off then so be it, but on inspection I couldn't see any difference, pretty much spot on.

On the way home i pulled up to a level crossing, as i waited a golf was waiting to pull out, so instead of making him wait i reversed back to let him in (as i was at the back of the que anyway) at this point he shouted across "have you just had the bonnet sprayed" i honestly thought the paint had come off or something, turns out he was the one that sprayed it, got out and shook his hand for a good job.....small world.

  4. I do have a habit of getting annoyed at the little things so thought I would ask.

I had my 350 collected from a bodyshop to have the bonnet resprayed, when i got it back the dashcam was disconnected. So I checked the footage and the car started when it was collected then goes off, assuming when the driver pulled the plug.

I didnt intend to check when the car got back but it being disconnected made me suspicious.

  5. Im not saying im an expert but I just purchased a 53 plate 350, bride seats, scorpion exhaust, and rota gtr wheels, full service history, needed some work like a wheel bearing, wheel refurb and bonnet spraying, I purchased just under 6k, just to give you an idea.

  6. So 2 weeks into owning my second 350z and wanted to spend some time on it, this one was purchased from a member on the forum, and so far im happy with it.

    1. Service. Only an oil and filter change, it was due so thought I would do that to begin with.

    2. OSF wheel bearing, it was howling at all speeds, probably one of the easiest wheel bearings i've replaced. Onve it was removed it was tight and rough, but no play. The spacer on this tight wasn't tight, which was all sorted when I built it back up.

    3. Tarmacs bonnet dampers, recommend these to anyone.

    4. Joying double din head unit, i am a fan of these as I do prefer Android, as I pay for copilot I can log in and download the app again, i download all my music onto it also, i had an Eonon head unit in my old seat leon, they can be a big slow to start up, but i don't mind that as i let the car idle for a couple of mins before i set off. I wired it up and just need to get the steering wheel controls and rear speakers up and running.

    5. Replaced stubby aerial, and because the old one was seized, i also replaced the aerial unit under the wing.

    6. Removed air box and intake, cleaned MAF and throttle body to cure warm start stalling.

And thats it today, 3 year old getting bored after a few hours, so thought i would remove the cable ties so he could atleast get out the chair. :)
