  1. Apologies for the slight hi-jack but does anyone know if these will cover the two little holes that the rear Nissan burger reveals?

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-Z-CAR-BADG ... 240%3A1318

These have 'locator pins' in them, there's a good chance they may not match up but they can be trimmed off.

I just can't really find some replacement Nissan burger badges that I really like.

Any chance peoples can show me their badges to give me a good idea? Preferably on a black Zed.

    Thanks

  2. I had the standard remote control car aerial, bought a little stubby black one off eBay.

The kind of one that a kid would buy in anodised blue for his red Saxo. But I guess it would be better than standard for the time being.

Well the reception is a bit crappy If I'm honest. But it doesn't look OEM which is slightly annoying.

This s2000 stubby? How's the reception on one of those? I'm assuming it kind of mates the circumference of the base so it doesn't look like tacky crap stuck on?

    Thanks in advance

  3. We just have Focus Estates and Octavia's around my way. And an Agila, it has brutal tyre shredding acceleration*

I've seen on my travels, stickered X5's, stickered Vectra Estates (Thames Valley ones are 'tuned' by Thorney Motorsport), un-marked Mondigo's, un-marked A4's, un-marked Octavia's. Stickered and un-marked 5 series'.

    Basically, don't speed

    *It doesn't really

  4. Bought a Bluetooth adaptor from eBay the other day.

Then looked at the Bluetooth adaptor FAQ again, my 'holster' doesn't look like the one pictured. Oh dear I thought (minus swear words).

Nipped out to check, I have some crazy Nokia thing. Perhaps it comes off, pushed some buttons as you do, and it came off revealing a proper Bluetooth base.

So I have now a phone 'holster' thing for a Nokia 7520i/7520/7210/6620/6610/6100

Is it this any use to anyone on here?

  5. The most annoying thing about these scams is how they price them.

    I would say;

    07 350z convertible - Great

    13,000 miles - great

£6500 on a classified advert - *presses back button on browser

I do understand that there is one born every minute but why can't them price them 'realistically' but a very cheap realistic price? Say £1000 cheaper than the cheapest 56 plate one for example?

  6. I remember being at Flame and Thunder a year or two back.

They did a few runs at dusk, a mental sight with the flames from the exhaust. I'm a sucker for a big V8. :cloud9:

Everyone with fingers is their ears, me with a massive grin on my face!

  7. I've done the same thing mate!

I'm 'booked' for two detailing sessions on both my grandparents sets of cars.

On Christmas day they were going on about how sad it was, all this detailing malarky, I know how to wash a car etc.

I said "Oh yeah, well I'll do your car properly and you'll be staggered at the difference!". They of course agreed.

    I'm an idiot.

  8. Just hard wired the new widescreen Navman into mine

    DSC_0997_edited-1.jpg

    Fits just fine

    Sats

That looks spot on. Which model Navman have you got? I think I've used a Navman at work, the power leads runs from one side, how have you got around this (if on your model Navman the lead runs from one side)?

Even when it's hardwired, I'm assuming you still need a plug coming out one side..... :headhurt:

  9. Welcome to the forum. :yahoo:

The paint needs claying badly as it feels like the surface of the moon so I'm looking forward to some slightly warmer weather so the clay actually stays soft!

Great to see you're keen to look after her when the weather abaits for a minute or two.

Oh I've been accused of being a bit of a detailer many times in the past!

Or 'a sad bast*rd' by the ex!

I usually get the latter

    I don't anymore, she's long gone, it's awesome!!!!!

I can sleep diagonal in the bed without getting a slap and everything!

I missed that bit of the intro.

A mug of nice hot water is your friend when claying in the cold. I do that and keep kneading it. It'll stay soft enough to use!

    Now, no more excuses!

I have done that before Stew, one of the coldest and most un-enjoyable detailing sessions!

It was so cold, I had to refill the little bowl I had with boiling hot water every 10 mins, warm water wouldn't cut it, It went cold in 2 mins!

Perhaps I'm just lazy.... Who knows!
