  1. Hi mate,

These come painted in black from Nissan but they are only matt and require painting.

I have a brand new set of these, Front and Rear, Genuine Nissan, painted in Gloss Black (Kuro I think)

Cost from Nissan £76.00 per pair, so £152 + painting.

    I need £90.00 + shipping.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

Thanks for your offer Alex. It's mainly as they were so cheap, although come payday I may give you a shout. There are a couple of things on the shopping list, carbon lip, tonneau etc but I'll definately get back to you.

  2. For me (a youngster) image comes into it a fair bit.

To sum up Porsche for me, unless you have a 911, they all look quite effeminate. Non 911's are fantastic to drive but you catch your reflection in a shop window and 'steady sailor'. They just don't stand out as much as I'd like for the amount of money you need to spend on one. Wheras the 911 Turbo, really really good to drive, I would like to be seen in one.

I've driven a few Boxter's, 2.7's, S' etc, really good/fun to drive, but ultimately, I wouldn't want to be seen driving it. I've only seen women driving the Cayman and it just doesn't look as 'ard as the 911, no doubt it's good though.

Same with the SLK, driven one, brilliant fun with top down etc, but wouldn't want to be seen in it. Wheras an SL, I'd have one of those.

As above with the Audi TT.

I think the least effeminate cars are the Z4M and the S2000 but they just aren't as hairy chested as the 350z.

But then again, 'you shouldn't car what others think' apparently.

    350z = MAN CAR! :lol:

  3. I've used the Autosmart products at work, it's good gear.

Tardis is top notch for what it does, it does give me a headache though  One of those small bottles will be all you need for a long time.

Platinum is pretty good, easy to apply and remove, does give a nice and crisp shine.

If I could just recommend one thing you could maybe start doing, is Autosmart Highstyle. I find it top notch for tyres.

  4. Even if your hot hatch accelerates at the same rate of knots, would you not rather be in a 350z?

It does accelerate quickly, doesn't give you the kick in the back, but it's really not slow.

As above, it's quite deceptive, toe it watch the speedo needle whip round.

    Plus you have the noise!

  5. Just turned 23 when I bought mine (although I do look 16).

Financed it at a base rate, very cheap car for what it was.

    I don't earn a staggeringly big wage.

£250 ish per month for the 350. Insurance is £700 or something, I just pay it in one go. Always have. First car was a Celica GT at 19, insurance was £1700, paid it in full, and the car. All my savings.

Oh and I've smoked like a chimney throughout (not in the cars though), I do occasionally go out but it's not really my bag. Been on a few extravagant holidays.

Fuel, I just put more in when it's running low. No idea how much it costs me. 3 tanks a month?

I don't spend money like it's going out of fashion, I will never spend my whole months pay by a mile.

Because I do that, I don't really check my bank balance, I just spend and work it out in my head. Then I get paid, and I have more money than when I got paid from the month before.

I do live with mummy and daddy. I'll buy a house when I find a girl worth marrying, it'll half the mortgage.

  6. Get one.

They will have HPI'd the vehicle, if they haven't, they're very very silly. They will probably keep it for the the dealers filing but get them to photocopy it for you if they won't do you another.

I think our HPI's (at work) cost around £4 ish.

Check the date, make sure it's nice and recent.

  7. Tis great living with a 350z.

Had mine for 3-4 months now. It can drink fuel, but I'm not too bothered, I knew it wasn't a Polo Bluewhale or whatever. When it's out of go faster juice, I put more in, easy!

I'm single so with two seats, it's twice as practical as I need. It has a boot which to put work bag which contains my sandwiches (it's more than big enough for it)

It's Japanese, so it'll start on cold mornings and get me to work (excluding snow)

It has lots of torque, I don't have a need to change down as much (last car was a Celica)

It turns heads, in a good way. Not in a 'check my Saxo with 5" exhaust' way.

    It sounds beautiful!

People I find pull out in front of me rather cheekily, I can only assume this because 'I'm a young flash b4stard in flash car etc' but with many horsepowers, overtaking is no problem. It can get annoying if there are no safe overtaking opportunities, but pop her in 6th, relax, and save a little fuel.

    Get one bought!! :teeth:

I absolutely love mine to bits.

  8. I'm a little confused about the tyre width section he's posted....

Not to worry. I'm assuming these are the same sizes as standard wheels (18's) and the Rays.

So if someone snapped these up, refurbed them, you could just put on the tyres you have now? (Assuming you have 18's)

  9. Do you mean the alarm sensors?

Always thought they were the car phone mics

    Bugger, same here!

When I'm on the phone, I kinda talk towards them......

    Where is the phone mic?

Black thing at the bottom of the 1st pic is the mic, near the winscreen

    Nice one mate!

I was half in the right direction!
