  1. I bought a polished Aluminium one and a keyring they both arrived today. kta's pictures don't do them justice. The gear knob looks , it's got a slightly satin finish and the logo really stands out. As for the keyring The etching is barely perceptible to the touch but looks the dogs. There is one problem....WHICH SIDE TO LOOK AT?!?!?! Beat you to it. Excuse the finger in the corner Behold the keyring!!! I took a picture of the other side of keyring but it had greasy fingerprints all over it.
  2. These are Peugeot 307 luggage nets but (I know from personal experience) fit perfectly in the 350Z. A net Another A little cheaper than the £45 Nissan like to charge.
  3. Non-Brembo Front 152-155NM, 15.6-15.7KgM, 113-114ftlb Non-Brembo Rear 71.6-97NM, 7.3-9.8KgM, 53-71ftlb Brembo Front 151-152NM, 15.4-15.5KgM, 111.4-112.9ftlb Brembo Rear 71.6-97NM, 7.3-9.8KgM, 53-71ftlb
  4. William, they look fantastic. Great work old chap The etching doesn't show up as well on the SS one as the brushed Al. I think I've made the right choice, if the etching isn't prominent enough, I'll stick it on a lathe and run some smooth micromesh over it to make it a more satin finish. I don't think that'd be so easy with SS. How deep is the laser etch, mate?
  5. Welcome! Like all the others have said, go for the lower mileage one it'll be easier to sell on. I woldn't worry about buying a higher mileage Z, mine's done getting on for 110,000 (54 plate) and is still sweet as a nut. If it's been serviced on time, and properly, it'll shrug off the miles.
  6. Yep it's the 307. I took the one out of the missus' old car before we sold it. It's a perfect replacement.
  7. Saw the first one in a Volvo dealer in Hook, the salesman knew nothing about them. It was about the right price and gorgeous azure. Unfortunately it was a non-GT (but with 18" wheels) was 3000 miles short of a P3 and all 4 tyres needed replacing. The salesman wouldn't move on the price so I walked. It was still there a month later but I assume they shifted it eventually.
  8. Hi Chants, Don't know whether you've already looked but this one seems to tick most of your boxes. I know it's not in one of your preferred colours but Gunmetal Grey is good for an extra 5BHP Oh yeah, I forgot.
  9. Hi Nathan, Judging by your pictures I think I live pretty close to you (the other side of the fence). I've had my Z since December and it really is a hoot. Buy a good 'un and you'll not regret it. The only problem is deciding where to start tinkering.
  10. I may have seen you bud, I have started noticing a GM coupe with an import plate around town which I havent seen before, going down oxford hill today..... Not me mate. Standard plates on mine however the spacing and font could interest the local constabulary. Got a friend coming down from oop north this weekend and promised him a blast so you may see me around.
  11. Pity to see the Z go but at least you got a decent amount for it. The VXR is quite good fun and a little more practical. Give me a flash if you see my GM (with the slightly illegal M 300 TYS plates) around Witney.
  12. Those ones are 91W rated. I'm sure these are the ones in Costco http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-NEW-CAR-TYRES-2 ... m153.l1262
  13. I went in today. They're £216 for pilot sport 225/45/18(Front) and £224 for 245/45/18. That's a little cheaper than e-tyres and it includes fitting, balancing, valves and nitrogen inflation. Ps Their oil is dirt cheap. £23 for 4l of Mobil 1 fully synthetic (0W-40), £20 for 4l Castrol Magnatec fully synthetic (5W-30).
  14. This afternoon around 3:20 heading into Witney from Ducklington. I was heading the other way in the family wagon and didn't get too good a look. Guy in a white shirt driving.
  15. I'm in Carterton, not too far from Witney. Here's my toy although it won't have that reg for long. It's the gunmetal (primer) grey capital of England in Carterton, I've seen another '54, a 55 and 2 '56's plus a 04 JDM sunset. Got any favourite routes round here? The twisty bit between Eynsham and Stanton Harcourt is fun. Especially when it's damp and greasy. There's a funny light that appears on the dash whenever I'm round there.
  16. Thanks for that info. I'm new to the area so I'm on the lookout for decent garages. I'll be doing most of the work needed myself, but the service stamp pays for itself when you come to sell. Is that the place near Sainsbury's?
  17. I followed, what I assume was, the same one on the M4 west today at 4pm. It turned up the A419 then A420 towards Oxford. Chrome rear plate surround and possibly colour mismatched fuel filler flap. It wasn't wearing Rays.
  18. Thanks for the welcomes. I've had explain to a few people that I'm not worried about the mileage. It's been serviced on time with no expense spared. The guy who owned it previously was using the car as mobile office so most of the miles are motorway/ A-road miles. That's not going to put too strain on this sort of engine. To have done 100k in 4 years on country lanes you'd have to have the manic grin surgically removed. The cosmetic bits also give me something to play with when the weather gets better. That's if I can stop going out in it. Oh! That engine note. I even let Mrs swarf drive it so I can listen to it from the outside too.
  19. Hello. I recently moved the family from Merseyside to leafy West Oxfordshire so I decided that now, 1) I could afford to insure it and 2) not get it nicked during the night, to get myself a sports car. I had a look at a couple of options but since I'm not a hairdresser the Boxster, Z3/Z4, TT & SLK were out. The RX8 has too many seats, ditto the Scooby and Evo (not to mention attracting the wrong sort of attention). The MX-5 a bit underpowered a TVR a bit overpowered (not to mention being made from Rover parts and plastic in a shed in Blackpool). So only one option seemed sensible yet mad enough and the Z got the vote. I was hoping to have a budget of nearly £20k but the house sale fell through (renting it out instead) so I was on a much tighter budget. After looking at a couple of cheap ones (Some pups, some dogs) I happened on a gun metal, GT packed, Alezan leathered, Rays alloyed, Bose stereo'd, FNMDSH'd, 1 ownered, 54 plated, UK car. All for the princely sum of £8300. Of course something had to be wrong with it. 106,000 miles, a few stone chips and scuffed/corroded alloys. But with a full Nissan Main Stealer SH, (including a P2 in September), a new clutch and a pair of new Bridgestone Potenzas on the back end all within the last month, plus 12 months MOT and 5 months tax I became the proud owner of.... Forgive war and peace^^^^^^^
