    Missfire?

If you have a uk car you will have 2 proper widebands before the cats ans 2 normal lambda's behind the cats to check the cats condtion really. As the front ones are widebands they have heaters built into them to warm them up quiclky so the reading are control are precise straight away. All the do is adjust the fueling from the engine

    Missfire?

Hello Cheer for the help again mate. I was thinking fuel pressure as the fuel hits bank 1 first and goes round to bank 2 so if the fuel pressure dropped slightly it might not have enought presure when it gets to the last injector ie number 6? Going to have a quick play today before i go away.

    Missfire?

Yea google has helped out a fair bit mate. Only thing this is not a normal misfire but coming up with the misfire code. Basically half the engine is running fine and the other is running lean. As said have had all the plenuims off and injectors with fuel rail. No air leaks and lambda's seem to be working correctly. Only the front lambdas actually correct the fueling. And they are showing as healthy but at different voltages due to one being fine and one being lean I still might try and swap over the lambdas to see if the other bank goes lean and bank 2 beings to go back to normal. As the extra bungs are in there now i can put my wide band meter in and see if the problem follows that lambda Even put a Haltec ecu in the car today and played around with the cam timing just to see if one cam was slightly out of time due to the acciedent. Same again went lean so at least the ecu, injectors have now been checked along with the variable cam timing. Got to check the fuel pressure but you need a specail adaptor to be able to take the reading at the fuel damper. Strange one but we will get to the bottom of it. and then back to the bodyshop to fix the side skirt Cheers for the help and idea guys

    Missfire?

Well been down Abbey Motorsport all day trying to get to the bottom of the misfire problem. Thanks alot to the guys down there and for Mark spending the day helping me. Very grearful indeed. Well took the cats off and welded some bungs in pre cat so that i could run 2 lambda sensors. I got the car off the ramp and smashed one on my sideskirts Oh well So we found the reason for the misfire. Bank 2 is running very lean on idle and through the rev range. Bank 1 is at 14.7 and bank 2 is at 19-20 odd. Not good at all. So we thought we might have a dodgy injector so i went about swapping all the injectors out for a sel that had just come out of the flow tester. Started the car and set it to self learn and all sorted for 10 mins till it went back to the way is was before
  7. Yea i have been using abbeys consult 2 but also using the pedal trick to get codes and stuff. Something to do with fueling side of things as the lambdas where not responing correctly but they are fine Looks like it has come down to injectors now. Yea agree with the nismo front bumper but are they not fibre glass? Also i know what you mean with the spacers and mast that nissan stick on the back
  8. Maybe Nixy can come over and stroke the car for luck then but not the paint work as it scratchs way to easy. I do love the car and so does my lady as it is hers but cant let her drive it at the moment until the problem is sorted. Great car to drive when itsbehaving. Great handling, ride and noise. Want it sorted this week so i dont have to worry about it anymore.
  9. Cheers guys Normally a good car wash works but not this time
  10. Been working on the 350z now for about 3 weeks trying to fins a misfire that keeps coming up. It had been an absolute nightmare. Been to abbey and used nissan computer and all comes up a ok even thought it is idling like a cheap escort. SO i though **** it maybe if i washed it it might start behaving Thought i might as well get some pics up of it as i havent got any of it all completed as yet. but its still misfiring. Peice of poop

    Bye Bye GTR

Thats crazy. How can Nissan do that to a car that has such a big following. Gutted.

350z's don't have ht leads mate. They have a coil per plug

    Missfire?

arrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Right found a few things wrong and fix them. Replaced all sensors today off a running 350z of the same year and still no luck. I have been using the nissan consult all day and i had no faults come up at all. Went to drive home and the car had no power and was stuttering down the road. I pulled over on the m25 and turned the ignition off. Started the car again and all was fine ????????????? Drive it home 40 miles with no hesitation but still very slightly lumpy idle. Got home turned the engine off again. Started it and is missing really bad again. I honestly cant see anything wrong with the car but it is still playing up.
  15. Glad your car is sorted mate. Hope all goes well.
  16. Haha you can have the old sensor if you want. Just gone through the whole wiring loom and all is good. Earths are spot on and no shorts to live when ecu is disconnected Also got someone to check a crank postion sensor and there is meant to be no resistance between any of the pins where i have restance between pins 1 & 2. So is looking deffinatly shagged. Hope it sorts my car out
  17. Well i found something today. Crankshaft position sensor plug had copper showing and a bit smashed up. Checked the sensor and is seems broken Waiting on some new parts and hope all is ok
  18. See i dont get that code at all. I was getting p0300 multi cylinder misfire. That went and i was getting the code fro oxygen sensor 2 bank 2 and then bank 2 lean code. Peice of crap car i tell you. Lumpy idle and now and then stutters it tits off down then road.
  19. Let me know how it goes mate. I spent most of the day under the dash tracing cables and testing lambda sensors. Did you get fault code 0300 multi cylinder misfire?
  20. Exactly the same as mine at the moment mate. Still going through everything to get it back to health again. I bet you will will get codes . p0300 multicylinder missfire, p1283 bank 2 lean I did get a code once for the heated oxygen sensor number 2. I am going to replace it but i reckon its only brought that up due to the car having a running issue. Good luck mate and if i sort it i will let you know.

    Missfire?

Well the car is getting worse now and bearly driveable. Has anyone ever had an injector give up? as i have been searching on google and there have been a few case of misfires leading back to packed up injectors.
  22. Happy birthday Nixy. Have a great one.

    Missfire?

My still palying up abit. Even though it is still missing it didn't bring up any fualt code after my little drive last night. I know is doesn't turn the light on unless it has the same fault twice but it normally stores the fault code after the first time. I cant see how this has just come out of the blue. Really starting to **** me off now.

    Missfire?

Just reset the ecu again and went for a drive. Its holding back abit and then it takes off again. I found what 1283 mean = P1283 is a code for lean condition A/F sensor 1 bank 2.

    Missfire?

Well just been out there to check the alternator and all is fine. I did notice that the battery terminal where lose though They are all tight now. Thought i would reset the codes and it came up with 1283 which isnt in the manual. Done a google search it took me to the USA and the twin turbo boys seem to get it all the time. Something to do with a lean bank but no deffinition of what is exactly is?
