  1. Got my Zed when I was 25 and used to really love driving around listening to loud music, but the more I learned about 'proper' driving, the less I wanted to listen to music. I'm 30 now and never listen to music in the Zed. I much prefer listening to the engine now and it also helps with heel and toe down shifting as I can hear the revs much better.

PS. I'm fully aware that the above statement makes me sound like a bit of a 'beard and pipe' sort of guy, but I don't care

  3. I'd probably say uprated pads (Performance Friction or Carbon Lorraine), braided brake hoses and some Motul RBF600 fluid and a set of Eibach sway bars. That lot + fitting should come to about £1,000. That should give you a much better handling car

  4. this is prolly the main reason why i have stayed away from a plenum spacer because i have the GT Spec CF strut brace, again with no means of adjusting.

I've also got the GT Spec CF Strut brace and have no problems using a plenum spacer. Didn't even need to use the supplied strut bar spacers/washers.

  5. I don't see why it would need strengthened in any way, plus when doing the research there's plenty of z's with this kit in the states and then Chris_uuc here also runs them with no problems.

The most expensive kits run full coilovers setup

    Have a look here http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=43743

Abbey Motorsport posted in this thread about converting the rear to true coilovers and they reckon you need to strengthen the rear top mounts to take the increased load. Might be worth a chat with them to see what's needed

  6. You do realise that the rear suspension on a Zed doesn't use coilovers, it uses a separate spring and damper? From the look of that set of XYZ's they look like true coilovers on all four corners. If you're converting the rears to true coilovers I think you'll need to do some additional strengthening.

  7. I love the way it says "Nismo tuned" twice in the description, just incase you weren't convinced :lol:

Over 300bhp is a little optimistic too

lol, someone please email and ask for a dyno plot. Someone should report this. Some poor guy in a dealer probs believed the seller when he told him the info to get better than market value

I'd love to know in what way it's been "Nismo tuned"... other than the addition of the badge of course

  8. Have you tried contacting ZMANALEX for a HR engine? He had some for sale a while ago. Definitely worth a shot if you haven't already tried. Alternatively R35LEE breaks Zeds so try him too.

Can't see why you couldn't substitute a DE for a HR, but it would really be a downgrade. I think you'd also need to swap the transmission, ECU and loom too.
