  1. Finally Completed the swap a couple of weeks ago. But only just had the time to post all pics up. Below: Before I started............. Origial Bose system & Pioneer Below: The wiring of the Bose & Pioneer Sat Nav/DVD (Not working properly) Below: Glove box behind passanger seat. Wiring from the Pioneer unit. Below: Parrot Wiring with some of the Pioneer. Had to split the two to then hook up the Parrot bluetooth kit to my new Kenwood. New Headunit: Kenwood DNX5220 New subwoofer: Alpine 10" Type R SWR1022D 1500W Peak, 500WRMS Below: PAC ROEM-NIS2 speaker/amp converter. NOTE: Must wire up the Earth cable & run an extra earth cable from the interface to then bolt it to the bodywork for the best earth. Otherwise you will find you will keep blowing the 15amp radio fuse under the bonnet. Below: PAC converter all in place & Kenwood all conected with the Parrot too. Below: Custom sub box for 10" sub bow put in place with speaker wire leading to the glove box behind passanger seat where I will be mounting the amplifier. Below: Wires all hidden up behind the passanger dashboard cover near the cigarette lighter is. I also got a facia adapter to surround the new headunit. Bought this from www.Sextons.co.uk, fits perfectly. Below: Also ran an Ipod audio/video lead to the centre storage box for my iphone. Below: All Finished & all works NOTE: I have now also disconnected the Bose subwoofer behind drivers seat by just unpluging the clip on the speaker itself then screwed it back in again. Hope this can help out a few of you.................
  2. It's now on!!! Quality is amazing. I will post pics soon & will post a video when exhaust is a few weeks old.
  3. That Winchester Road A276 is one hell of a nice road!!! I thought that was a good meeting position. Fair play Nick Dunno what happened to the rest of you 350z owners who said they were going............. Bring on the HJC meet Sun 8th Feb!
  4. Just checked the weather on Sunday. Supposed to be good about 8 deg bit of Sun with cloud. Sounds good to me!
  5. Looks a good location to me. I am fitting my exhaust on Sunday 1st Feb, so providing I can get it done before about 1pm, I'll be there.
  6. Oxford is a bit more of a mission for me, doubt i'd go there. I'd prefer original location area or maybe Newbury, basingstoke or Andover?
  7. I got the same trouble due to the Bose system being wider at the top by about 3mm each side. There should be a proper fascia adapter out there. Any one know of one that definately works when changing from Bose system to a aftermarket double din stereo???
  8. Already done mate lol I posted on it too. Will be cool to meet some of you guys.
  9. I Might be up for the meet, depending on where the new place is. That sounds really awful about the landlords wife, hope things only get better for her. I'm a fair distance away near Ringwood. The 1st Feb is a good day for me so would be nice to finally meet some people. Plus hopefully i'll have my new stereo & exhaust all fitted by then
  10. Where was all the 350z's then coz it didn't look like any went? Mainly just skylines, 300zx & 200sx's..............
  11. Not installed yet, but have done a lot of the wiring & taken out the old Pioneer set up. Pics below show the wiring loom & testing to make sure it works. Last picture shows where I have just this second soldered the joints & heat shrunk them to tidy the wiring up a bit. Custom sub box also shown. Note: Wires only put together in the block for testing. Picture above just shows some of the Parrot Bluetooth wiring I have kept in the car.
  12. Keeping orginal Bose speakers, which is why I have bought the PAC ROEM-NIS2. The Custom boot enclosure is set under the strut brace. Sits neatly under it carpeted in the same colour carpet as the boot. I'll put pics up soon.
  13. Just delivered: Kenwood DNX 5220 PAC ROEM-NIS2 (imported from USA) Kenwood PS521 1000w Amp Alpine Type R 1022D 10" Dual 2ohm Subwoofer Custom 350z 10" Sub Enclosure Parrot CK3100 Bluetooth (already installed) Can't wait to fit it all. Although I know it is going to be a pain in the ass as the car already has a Pioneer dvd sat nav system installed (Pioneer Avic900) with a separate screen) but does not work properly. So got to disconnect all that & remove it plus try & keep the Parrot BT wiring. I've done a lot of research so hopefully will be ok.
  14. Finally ordered it!!! Milltek Exhaust is on its way. Should be within a week. I will post pics when fitted and a video on here after i have had the exhaust on a month or so as they tend to sound better once bedded in.
  15. I own a blue Azure Blue 350z GT, But I also saw another one near where I live. They work in Ebblake industrial estate in Verwood. Shout out who you are if your on this forum??? Cheers, Mike
  16. Nismo would be perfect for me but they are alot more than £800 ish. Best quote so far for Milltek is £710 + £15 Delivery or collect free. Fit myself.
  17. I do realise that, But Nismo is a lot of money & Mongoose & Magnex is not as good quality, & I really want to change the Y Pipe also. Any other suggestions that do not need to be imported & is quiet when cruising around but has a slight grunt when booted?
  18. Really like the Milltek exhaust but is quite a bit of money. Pure quality exhaust. Can any traders let me know their best price by PM or does anyone know a place thats well priced for it? I will fit myself no problem. Need to buy exhaust very soon. Many thanks, Mike
  19. I'm well up for a meet whenever!! In need of a new exhaust & can't choose which one to buy. So need a peek at everyone elses
  20. Just measured the outside diameter of my OEM exhaust on backbox pipe & centre pipe. Both only 60mm. Usually the bigger bore exhausts are better for turbo'd 350z's. pi**ed the ESR Scorpion exhausts (63mm Bore) have now gone
  21. My exhaust broke the other day but I have bodged it for the mean time by welding it back up. Want to buy a new aftermarket stainless steel one. Like the style & sound of the Nismo but bit expensive for me. Was looking more around the £500 mark such as Mongoose, Magnex, Scorpion. The thing really confusing me is the fact the pipes are such different sizes. Scorpion = 63mm main pipe - 4" slash cut tail pipes Mongoose = 76mm main Pipe - 4.5" slash cut tail pipes Magnex = 76mm main Pipe - 4.5" slash cut tail pipes Nismo = ? Milltek = ? Is bigger better, more airflow? I guess bigger pipe the louder the noise? Can anyone tell me the Nismo size as I think I will look at exhausts closest to the Nismo & I am also wanting to replace the Y Pipe really. Looking at the deal with ESR for the last of their Scorpion exhaust but what put me off is trying to find a Y pipe that is 63mm at the end. Most seem to be 76mm? ARRRRGGHHHH PLEASE HELP
  22. I've been round southampton a couple of times when going to west quay. I'm in Azure Blue GT model. But live in Verwood
