  1. where abouts can you get them from?

dawnc have a set to sell at the wales run. that's why i asked really, but mine is a facelift so wont go in mine. very annoying. quite like the idea of changing the orange to black.

  2. Depends how you want the wheel to look.

mine are 19x9 front 19x10 rear ET 20, which is IMO perfect, fills the archs but no rubbing.

if you went 8.5/9.5 id look for ET17 to fill it out, if 9.5/10.5 then go ET23, thiat way any of the 3 widths will sit similarly on the car.

that's answered the question about sitting in wheel arch then

  3. Preferably speak to people that run them already or find a relaiable trader that knows their stuff that can offer advise. I have the GTR's in 8.5f/9.5r (18s) and they are spot on. Turn in is a little slower than the Rays but more stable on the other hand. 9f/10r will be even more stable but you will trade off some turn in and agility. Also remember the wider tyres will cost more ;)

neither should give any problems with speedo right? i wasnt sure if the widths made a difference to how they sat in the wheel arch, i'm guessing that's just dictated by the offsets?

have to say, i do like the rota gtrs. 19s would be perfect as well

  4. It all depends on how wide you want your tyres to be!

And what offset they are. The offset on one might suit the Zed better than the other ;)

well i'm only looking at the moment. from what i've read i'll be hoping to get a set with 20 offset. so that i dont need spacers. i hear rarerims are going to be doing the rota gtrs in 19s soon. so i wanted to get them. but not sure whether should go for 8.5f/9.5r or 9f/10r if the options are available. how do i choose between the two?

  5. hello guys,

am sorry if this has most probably been covered before.

but just wanted to check what difference it makes for 19'' wheels if they are 8.5f/9.5r and 9f/10r. how does the width affect things? is this different to offsets?

    thanks.

  6. i was thinking how would a completely red mat look in the zed?

Looks very good in the right car. Too much red for me though :ninja:

yeh will really only know when i see it. i'm trying to go down the red interior bits for my black zed. love that colour combo

  7. If you are still interested in custom matts, there may be a group buy shortly after Wales, keep an eye out for a thread on it :ninja:

    Ok. Thanks for the advice.

Will keep an eye out for this then .

+1 i am interested in some mats which have red on. then i was thinking how would a completely red mat look in the zed?

  8. hello guys, just seen a pair of black front bumper reflectors on sale! just wondering if anyone has them and whether they think it's suitable for a black zed and whether anyone has any photos of them on a zed?

    thanks alot

  9. does anyone know if there are any exterior door handles available in different colours or in carbon? i guess colours is just a matter of getting them painted. but can you take them off the doors to paint them?

    any help would be appreciated.

    thank you very much!

oooo, interesting! which mats? nismo ones?

  11. i personally use my iphone quite alot, use it as an ipod when going gym or train, plug it into the car when driving, bluetooth for handsfree. do alot of waiting around for people and on trains the internet is awesome. catch up on emails when i can. it's just a very useful bit of kit in my opinion. had to get rid of my last one for a bit and when waiting for the new one to come along i just felt lost without it sometimes.

  12. I will probably end up getting one as an upgrade from the current iPhone 3G but don't go expecting anything amazing. Its pretty definate that the major changes are just 3.2MP autofocus camera (wow still only 5 years behind every other phone), 32GB, compass, FM transmitter, faster CPU (600MHz to 400Mhz) in the same size casing as before....BUT the same battery. Unless they have got some bloody good chip designers I bet its going to mean even shorter battery life than the current model

i.e. nothing amazing. IMO the major progress will all be in the 3.0 software which a free upgrade on the iPhone anyway.

have to agree with you, battery life really isnt great! but luckily i plug mine in the car and that keeps it charged most of the time.

still looking forward to it though.

  13. i dunno, some drives i can do head out, but some i cant. find it really difficult to tell! and it's really really annoying!!

Just make it a rule to drive head in to drives and reverse out of them into the street.

It's because the bodyline on the rear is more favourable for steepish driveway entrances.

Weather permitting, I'll post some pics tomorrow (if I scuff my Varis lip, I'll blame you!!!)

i'm personally amazed that you havne't scuffed the lip yet. am very impressed and hope that you keep it that way! i had mine for a week and it's so painful to see. to be honest, all the driveways i had problems with, i had the problem without the varis lip even when stock so i think i had no chance.

  14. Hmm, do you reverse onto the street from your drive or the head first?

I found that going head on from my drive to the street is bad, because the nose gets crazy close to the ground, even had the front bumper scrape when I didn't have the lip on.

No such probs reversing out of the drive tho.

i dunno, some drives i can do head out, but some i cant. find it really difficult to tell! and it's really really annoying!!

  15. I too am interested in the next iPhone model when it makes an appearance, especially after I heard that it could be the "iPhone Nano", now that would be something special.

A Nano version would be rubbish, as the main attraction of the iPhone is the decent screen size. Any smaller and it'd be a waste of time.

I believe there's an annual keynote speech planned for June anyway, so expect it to be announced then with a release in July, and regular stock to be around November time if it's popularity is anything like the 3G. You won't be breaking an existing 18month contract, they'll simply sign you up for another 18 months and charge you an extortionate upgrade fee if you only got the 3G within the last 6 months. Well, that's my guess anyway, but tbh if you've got a 3G I can't really see what the iPhone 3 will have that would entice you to upgrade anyway: Certainly the 3G didn't do that much over the 1G, hence I've still got my trusty 8GB one.

I'd heard that they wasn't going to bring out a new iphone itself but to make one massive upgrade downloadable through iTunes, apparently over 100 upgrades,

The 3.0 firmware will be along in a few months, yes.

so the firmware 3.0 will be downloadable onto the current iphone 3g then? that would make things better.

i'd still probably want the new one when it comes out just because!!! yeh nano iphone wouldn't be great as i particularly like the screen size which makes surfing the net on the move soooo easy. and they said that internet speed would be even faster and bluetooth much better. which would be great for me ice, as the current bluetooth hookup is rubbish! can't wait to get my hands on the new iphone. but probably wont rush out like i did last time if 3.0 update is available to current 3g's

  16. mine isnt lowered either, and to be honest, speed bumps are generally ok, but i find driveways a nightmare, might just be where i'm from, but they dip quite sharply and i can just hear the apinful sounds of the front bottom edge scraping everytime

  17. now i have to admit, i am a massive apple fan, even though they know exactly how to work their customers to get the most money out of them constantly!! but i love their products and the one in particular is the iphone. i know there are loads of debates about it, but personally i just love them.

i've been reading alot of rumours around that they will be releasing a new and improved iphone this summer which will fix some or most of the shortcomings of the existing one. in particular new camera, video record mode, better bluetooth and faster 3g internet. now i cant even complain about the existing internet speed as being slow.

but that got me thinking. when it comes out, it will just be something i HAVE to get! but like many people when they brought out the 3g last summer, i already had the old one and had to sign another 18 month contract with them. it is obvious that the 18month is not going to expire at the time that bring out the new one this summer. therefore i just want to know how o2 are going to do this, i'm not even sure they still will have the monopoly over the supply! are they going to let existing customers on a unbreakable 18 month contract change and get a new iphone? surely they have to???
