  1. Nothing will sort it out for long mate... It's noisy as f...k grrrrr. The yanks appear to prefer redline with friction modifier as a valvoline and even after you break it in it won't stay quiet for long.

It's very embarrassing esp in car parks....I am even thinking of designing a sticker saying 'it's not rattling only when it's drifting' haha

And trying to actually explain and justify it to the girlfriend was the worse part.

All the best...but a track day or a drift day/night will convince you its worth it :)

    It stays on for me!

  2. Well I'm on coilovers and origional rays and the tread of the tyre is hidden by the arch  i would say its deffinatly lower than what eibach springs drop. But im only on an Oem bumper now, I removed the ings lip because the height I wanted to run the car the lip was bearly 40 mm off the ground  I'll get round to putting it in the forsale section soon :byebye:

That is far to low , it will wear the front compression arms bushes out in no time , rear driveshaft angle will be excessive as well for constant running. I would say a max of 25mm is the most you can lower the 350Z to keep reasonable suspension angles. SPC make a nice front suspension top arm to allow the camber to be adjusted, not cheap thou.

Raise it up a few MM I am sure it will ride far better and be more usable.

    +1

dangerously low mate. Had mine that low for a while and could easily knock the cats eyes off the road On standard rays ;)

Car would get unsettled easily too.

About 25mm all over and the front cambers were about 1.4 degrees. I dont understand why your cambers are so different tho.

I got the spc front camber arms and adjusted the front camber to 2.5 to eliminate understeer but Tyres don't like it. Neither the bushes.

Spc kit is great with easy and more precise adjustment. Before that I had another kit (don't remember the name-blue with lots of Allen bolts on the plane) which was ok but had to adjust to 0.01 of the degree.

  3. That will make the engine as powerful as a 370z engine :surrender: Albeit the power delivery of a 370z is flatter so has a better torque spread. Will have to get the 370 mapped just to make sure I have more power than you

It would be more powerful...till I get the snails fitted in a few months ;)

  4. No it wasn't a standard car. He ran 340bhp It has lots of nismo goodies. His car is amazing! Chris it was done at rs tuning. That was a hot run aswell. Should have made more if it was cooler. I'm happy with my 305.5bhp lol. What you will find with a standard car is that your first run will be nowhere near the manufacturers spec. If you get your bhp that manufacturers spec after a remap then you should be more than happy.

OK makes more sense. Should equate to about 290-295WHP which is very strong. Was there a fudge factor used Bennet to get to fly numbers or was it left to run down drag to calculate it? Fly numbers have a habbit of being optimistic from what I understand.

I wish power. at the wheels went up from 264 to 283bhp. It's the friction losses from the fly to the wheels. Then some say that power at the hubs is a bit more optimistic too.

    It's fly>hubs>wheels.

I am confident that early April it will be 350 at the fly and 290 at the wheels with fresh plugs and standard boxes. :)

hi flow cats, nismo cat back and nismo dual intakes. i am putting back the standard boxes with cosworth panel filters and apparently i should get a bit more.

first run with the mods was 319 then paul fiddled with it and took it to 340.7 at the fly. people here say its a pessimistic dyno that one as well or smth i dont know. i dont really care about the numbers... :)

and yes it was end of the day and the last few runs were very very hot!

ps i got the car from new and run it in properly! drove from the dealership home and just admired it think what i could possibly change. then went for a 4 hour drive from 11 at night till 3 in the morning! and that was only the first day haha

  6. The op asked a question. No need for all that.

The mods would happily lock the thread due to its content but at the same time they allow spamming and unreasonable bullying. I really doubt most of the comments would take place on a face to face conversation and I really detest the pretentious behaviour of some of the zed members here. Same old story about who obeys the law etc etc.

Rant over...sorry had a hard day at work and I am missing my zed which I actually took to the car audio shop today for a new dd head unit amps speakers and front and rear sensors! Oh yes sensors!

Now the op can pm me if he wants any details.

Sorry again if I upset anyone.

Ps for the op. No the parking sensors don't work like that although the electromagnetic ones I ve got (front ones anyway) can be activated at any time via a switch. You need a proper radar detector and jammer for what you wanna do. Google it they do work most of the time but they are not to promote speeding anywhere and everywhere :) you can still get done. All they donis give you a few seconds to react on a laser gun lock. The guns get at least 2 readings. It starts beeping at the first one (sometimes earlier but don't depend on it) but you have to slow down and give them a second or a third reading. Otherwise they ll suspect it and then you ll be in deeeeep sh@t ;)

  8. Ooops he has indeed!!

I won't comment further ;) but we ve got a policy for all patients to pay in advance for their treatment -not exams- and it's ok with the gdc and pct but we apply it to all patients. As for pinning kids down I can say all sorts as I am very old fashioned as a person...but I would rather keep my registration :)

Remember giving metronidazole to a 17 year old once and saying to him "it probably doesn't apply to you dude as you are not old enough yet but you have to be very very careful with these tablets-no alcohol at all! Not a sip!"

His mum went barmy saying my son doesn't drink and all the jazz when it was obvious the lad was too 'cool' for his age haha

  9. I am off to Greece and back 12th of April till middle mate. In the Zed that is.

France quieter motorways, german deristricted. italy autostrada tarmac smooth as a baby's ass. driving the stalvio pass on the way back middle of may. also from milan to monaco the route is fantastic and i ve driven round brittany too...Ace! but look for hidden gendam...;)

some awesome roads in germany too if you head towards the black forest :)

  10. Super unleaded on the track was £1,40!!! they say they dont make any profit on it but high price is due to the fact that they are not ordering in large quantities.

On 050As tyres overheated before the brakes. On 888s the brakes struggled. there is only 2 heavy braking points at cadwell (or 2 and a half). 1st after the long straight at the back where i am sure you wont have the bottocks to brake after the hill top (you ll know what i mean from the first lap haha....i saw 125mph on dry and 888s before i hit the brakes). if you take it easy there your brakes wont overheat!

second is a downhill straight after a shichane end 2/3rds of the track. brake early and you ll be faster on the left corner coming as it needs early turn in with settled car. brake late and you ll meet the photographer....brake wrong and you ll clinb the hill on the left after the left corner ( seen 2 S2000s so far)

its a long technical track and bites only wet. if dry go for it mate. if available ask for help at the desk...if you spend a few quid in advance you ll enjoy the rest of the day much much more :)

  11. greekmans car is around 340bhp im sure

Really :scare: I like the sound of that!

Greekman probably has no cats and 3" pipes straight through though!

Lol hfc's and nismo exhaust i think!

And K&N filters on air intakes. Everything else pretty standard ;)

Over 340 on the fly and that was a very very hot run as well, over 290 at the wheels.

Mark says you can gain even more on standard boxes with drop in filters. Made a hell of a difference...worth every penny.

  12. ahh well, thats a little annoying. however i did do a bit of researchg on them first and they get nothing but praise. they should be getting fitted this weekend

i understand dude, i can be annoying sometimes reading reviews on the internet. they are more like opinions and opinions are like ars..oles...everybody has got one :)

dont forget that the difference between the ps2 and ps3 may not be noticeable on every day driving...in fact the ps3s may be better for everyday driving. let us know what you think about them comparing to what you had before.

on another note my 050As scuderia are not ageing well. currently about 5mm at the rear and 7mm at the front. rear set has been changed once which means fronts are twice as old as the rears since they went on the car. The car is understeering quite a bit from slightly over that was before.

tyre pressures are spot on and set up hasnt been changed. didnt have the same issue when front and rears wore down the same.

i can only assume that its ageing ?

from September till January i had the rays on with the 888s and grip/balance was immense in the dry cold/freezing, good in the damp, average in the wet, scary in the freezing wet and ditch finding in the grit/ice :)
