  1. I can't see it in the pic, but regardless I know how annoying it is. Had my old type R in for a service and somone had dented the door really badly on collection. Probably like you, had that horrible feeling in the stomach.

Wait until you've been back to the garage. If they have their scratch repair man visit they may well have it looking like new as I guess it won't cost them much.

These things always look worse than they are when they first happen, especially when it's our pride and joy.

Hope you get it sorted

  2. Passed us today at around 14:30. Nice black Zed, possibly a gt4. Heading up the dual carriage way, from Coleshill police station, towards the M6. Gave you the thumbs up  . V6 in your reg.

I was very embarrassed my zed was so dirty  . Got home and washed it straight away!

  3. I have the Birdview system and use it all the time. Lack of post code doesn't cause that much trouble. I think it really makes the dash stand out as well. I go on a lot of weekend breaks etc and it's great fo finding hotels and places to visit. Doesn't look as pretty as the latest TomToms but does the job just fine. Traffic has worked great for me too (not sure what version this was standard on).

The main thing I miss is being able to add POIs, especially my lifetime subscription to the speed camera data base

I wouldn't have paid for it new but I think it was worth it for a small premium, if any, on a second hand car.

  4. Moved to Off Topic

Oops!, Came looking for the post after realising but you beat me to it :D

Cheers for all the responses. Don't worry it's not my garage and as Zed already has to sit out in the cold.

Planning permission is all sorted. The garage is being converted to a treatment room for a medical condition. We usually install a portacabin, that fits the bill, but this time that is not feasible. As far as I am aware, the existing garage is brick built, single skinned with a concrete floor and garage door. It will need an electric heater (no central heating required), and require plumbing and drainage. Sink with cold and hot water (supplied from electric boiler). WC is not required. It will need a window fitting. I’m not sure what roof it has but I guess it will be remaining flat if that's how it is at the moment. Located in the garden of the property roughly 20ft away. SIze mmmm, not being much help here am I? I'm not involved directly with the install so I'm working with 3rd hand info. Standard single car garage size?

We have a quote of 19k! Suprised me but it may just be to going rate as it's been a while

    Cheers

  5. Hi all,

Can any building type people give me a very ball park figure for converting a standalone brick garage into a room. Not for living in but for use, say as an office. It would require

    building works

    plumbing works

    electrical works

    drainage works.

    Cheers

  6. Hi All,

Just had my car P2 serviced at the stealer. I was under the impression that brake fluid was changed on the P2. The service tick sheet clearly the letter R for P2 and P3. When I collected the car I noticed the box had been ticked and noticed some reference to brake on the invoice so did not query anything. I've now had a chance to look more closely and it seems the invoice description is Brake PRT clean! This was also on my old P1 invoice as well, so I assume this isn't the brake fluid.

So the service sheet has brake fluid replacement ticked though the invoice doesn't show brake fluid . I can't call the dealer to check until next week, as they're moving premises. Is there an easy way to confirm if it's been done or is it pretty difficult to tell by just looking? I've done 16k if that makes a difference.

    Cheers

update: as expected was told just an ommission off the bill.

  7. Talking of filling up..

What is the best fuel to fill up with??

Always used Shell V power in the TT..

Use Shell V power or Tesco super myslef, can't say I've noticed a difference.

My first RW drive car so can't compare the ESP with others but it has tidied the rear up a few times for me nice and quickly
