  1. :scare: yes heard how much they were. Had trouble with mine recently. Only popped off when the sun was out  . Luckily, still under warranty so they fitted new clips

Well just sorted it,i found some small dia sleeving, and pushed that over the lug,and now its fixed! All nice and secure. :yahoo:

On mine the white clip (at the top) eventually split from me repeatedly popping the trim back in. Be careful you don’t stress it too much with the extra sleeving

  2. I'm definitely no expert but if you have a search on here you’ll come across of references to it. I think some are noisier than others so difficult to say without comparing it to another.

I'm based in Sheldon (maybe not too far from MoonHawk?) so feel free to pop round and have a listen to mine if you want.

  3. I have a 2007 350z with built in sat nav and wondered if you can update the software to include speed camera positions.

    Rich

    Nope

Not as yet, but I notice Renault has released and update CD for their xanavi system and the latest map DVD (2010/2011) includes european fixed speed camera locations. The map DVD is identical to ours but unfortunately without the software upgrade you can't select the info.

Will Nissan eventually release a software upgrade for the version x7? Probably not so guess the answer may remain 'nope'

I found another forum where Nissan owners had tried the Renault update CD but, though the initial screen shots looked promising, it didn't load complete installation

  4. Anybody had any experience of this new version of birdview map/software? Apparently it is compatible with the x7.0 system in the latest Zeds and includes improved menus and speed camera warnings.

There's talk about it on GPSunderground though it looks like it requires a software upgrade from CD. Though I’ve tried a newer map DVD I would probably be a bit wary about actually attempting to update the system software.....unless someone else had tried it first

  5. Sorry, I can't see how different tyres makes (front to rear) would cause such an reaction from the traction control. Accelerating, braking, turning, road surface, tyre pressures...does anyone really think that the load and grip provided by 4 identical tyres would be equal?

If you've got the car on the limit then yes, eventually one tyre will be the first to give but it doesn’t sound like the car is on the limit in this particular case.

  6. I believe certain map versions will only run with certain releases of the Birdview software. I think the latest systems used version 7.x software. So, for example. if you currently have version 6.x software and obtain a map revision that requires version 7.x it won't work. :)

Plus older systems ran off CD whilst newer ones use DVD. I think it changed around 2005 looking at other threads on here

awaits first person to suggest changing to the nurrish satnav

  7. A bit last minute, but can anybody recommend a particular car park for visiting the Wulfurn Hall tonight? There are plenty on the map but one that's not a rip off price and easy to get to would be ideal. I'll be arriving around 17:30 so will likely be parked for 6 hours.

I've heard some free parking is availabe after 18:00, so maybe I'll be lucky. Oh, I'm not going in the Zed, so no worries there

  8. and the facebook page can't make 600 members after 3 months! I'm afraid anything with "pass onto (enter number) of your friends", however well intentioned, gets labelled as chain mail and is promptly deleted by me.

Though, as I only usually by from Tescos or Shell I guess I'm indirectly joining the cause :teeth:
