  1. And is Lydia happy with a white 370 ? :stir::p:lol:

Yep. But the reduction in legroom (she's 6ft) and the missing cubbies are still a concern to her..... looks like i will have to pass then

Honestly the only things stopping me buying a 370 are the prices (still a tad high for me to feel happy with) and the fact that i own the best varient of the 350. As AK said earlier in the thread, there isnt a lot of difference between the 350 HR and the 370 if we are being brutally honest. I almost wish i had kept the old 53 plate :p

Still sound like im nit-picking dont i! :teeth:

EDIT - i cant even quote properly

  2. The screen did have a mark on it, like a scratch. Maybe it WAS touch screen? The dealer let me start the car up ....on the first floor lol! It was like starting a car up in a very posh office building! Nav fired up - Nissan logo etc. I never thought to try the screen doh!

The way the needles on the dials all roll round then back when you start the car was neat too.

But maybe this one would be just as good: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p

12,750!!! Mileage isnt too horrific either! Looks like someone needs a quick sale?

  3. How do you tell the difference? Car was a 2010 model...satnav had a load of buttons, as did the steering wheel :teeth:

Something else that annoyed me - quick-access to the cubby areas behind the seats. Now a no-no because even the passenger seat has a S L O W electric back-adjust motor

Does it sound like Im trying to talk myself out of one? Three stones chips. A mark on the satnav screen. Missing cubbys. Missing sunglasses holder. Passenger seat has an electric motor for back-adjust (tedious)

    ^^^^

Not really reasons to avoid one, are they ;)

  4. http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/4209175.htm

Popped along to Rybrook to have a look at the 370z they are selling. When i spoke to Gary from Rybrook on the phone and he told me that the car was on the first-floor, i should have sussed that something out-of-the-norm for a car sales place would be waiting for me and Lydia...

...sure enough, Rybrook near Solihull is a Macca and Roller dealership, with all the 'tat' like the 370z hidden away on the first floor (car lift access for the vehicles incase anyone was wondering) B)

Other 'tat' on the first floor included:

    2x Macca MP4-12Cs

    1x 911 GT3 RS 4.0

    Several Astons

    Ferrari California

    Maserati GT Stradale

I will say that the Storm white 370 really didnt look out of place! It looked more than good enough to be in such distinguished company ! :)

The price has been dropped recently too to a whisker under 20k. Car has 10000 miles only on the clock, one owner. Only issues were three little stone chips and a small blemish on the satnav screen....it looked factory-new.

    Tempted....very tempted.

Slightly annoyed about the lack of cubby spaces in the 370 tho...and where the hell is the sunglasses holder?!? :teeth:

  5. I hate to say it, but the problem isn't the TC in the car, it's the TC at the end of your right leg.

lol - i was expecting a comment like this  I'm not alone in berating the TC on the 350z - it really is too eager to step in during slow wet driving conditions. Sounds like the 370 might be a lot smoother from some comments?

This is what i saw originally - watch it from about 3mins 40secs in: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXIZ6Y38wEI

  6. *Tried* to follow you B)

It's really the junction pull outs in the wet that im interested in. I've had a few near-misses recently thanks to the 350z TC at junctions just stopping all forward motion completely for seconds on end (in the wet). I'm intrigued to know if the clunky TC of the 350z has been refined at all in the 370 - mainly for normal driving at junctions in the wet, that kind of thing.

Most of the time the TC in mine is off..unless its raining badly. It's in these situations that, occasionally, the TC in the 350 feels more like an enemy than a friend

I'm running Falken 452s with 6mm of tread...not the best tyre ever, but not ditch-finders either. These might be contributing the the TC getting muddled on occasions i guess.

  7. Sounds like a daft question. But the TC on both my 350z's (in the wet) can be 'dangerous' on some occasions when trying to pull out of a wet road junction.

If i pull out from a junction with a little bit too much power (perhaps due to excess grease on that bit of road, or loose stones, or a heavy right foot etc) the car completely cuts rear power and leaves you stranded in the middle of the junction, slowly juddering out. Not ideal if another car emerges from round a bend at excessive speed and you need to get out of the way...

Does the 370z offer better 'slip' and a more refined control when it cuts the TC on in similar circumstances? ie does the 370 actually allow the rear wheels to spin a little but controls the loss of traction in a more subtle manner allowing a safer and quicker exit from a junction?

Turning the TC *OFF* in the 350 in the wet is one solution - but that then leaves the driver at the mercy of his/her own ego/ability/mental alertness which isnt always an ideal place to be

I've seen a few reviews online where reviewers (in the wet) have said the 370 offers a more subtle form of TC - infact one video clearly highlights this as a 350z in the wet tries to drift out of a junction and gets stopped by the TC abruptly, but a 370 drifts quite politely out of a corner without much oversteer and with some decent forward motion. (Both instances look more like drift attempts though and not genuine 'normal' junction pull aways in the wet - hence me asking about the TC in a more 'real world' situation)

  8. Martin - unfortunately I haven't been able to get cover for work this weekend, so it looks like myself and Lydia wont be able to make it this year

There's a possiblity that I'll have cover for Saturday afternoon/evening. So if we are able to mosey up for part of a day I'll drop you a text so we know where people are going to be (i assume at the bar in the hotel)

  9. This came out of my old Zed. Never used, includes the larrge white mounting plate thingy to screw it down with. Ideal for someone looking to replace a missing or damaged SSaver, or a 370z owner wanted to do an Ebized install B)

£50 collected please, or a decent offer.

I'm located not far from J26 of the M1

    Thanks

  10. I think these cost £75 for a pair or thereabouts. I only have the passenger unit for sale. A few light scratches over the Z logo, and again at the end of the unit. Two light blemishes on the top (black) end. Probabably just needs a good clean - been sat in my garage for a year or so!

£20 - collection only please. Located not far from J26 of the M1

    Thanks

  11. These came off my HR engined (308bhp) Zed after the Stillens were fitted. They don't have any mounting screws/bolts, but do contain the paper filters.

I'm not certain how much these later airboxes are worth.... possibly loads or naff all lol

To protect myself from offering them too cheaply, I'm asking for £150 for the pair collected. If this is highway robbery, please feel free to PM or post with a more accurate s'hand price for these, and i will amend the sale price.

Collection only please, location not far from J26 of the M1

    Thanks

  12. This came off my old Zed. It has the additional plenum pipe with it. Sorry, i dont think i have the mounting screws or bolts anymore (although im sure Traders on here can supply them). It will need a filter too - it doesn't currently have one.

£30 collection only - I'm located not far from J26 of the M1

    Thanks

  13. Hi - I have my spare set of RAYS alloys which i am finally putting up for sale. They are in great condition - a few light scratchs and a couple of very light kerb markings. Otherwise more-or-less mint. Sadly the tyres are pretty shot - both rears are at the wear marker, and the fronts have bad shoulder wear on the inside edges. I can't vouch for the integrity of any of the rubber - TBH you would be a fool to run the car with these boots, they really need to be replaced.

I'm looking for £475 collection only (or buyer arranges courier pickup). I think the lovely condition of the alloys offsets the poor rubber. I've seen worse sell for more in the past

I'm based not far from J26 of the M1.

  14. Didn't Chris (Tarmac) have the 370z version of the Greddy Spectrum Elite available to order? I have to confess i haven't heard my 350z version externally yet (I think Tarmac got some video footage while at Wales?) but it seems to be the correct side of 'quite' at lower revs, and the correct side of 'loud' at highter revs

The pics Chris put up last year of the 370 version of the Greddy looked stunning. Bigger tail pipes than the 350z version, and a full-system (CAT back) if i recall? I suspect this might be a bit pricey though?

    EDIT - is this it?

Im at work so i cant 'hear' it lol !
