  1. Didn't you buy Jay's 370z? Or did I imagine that?

I thought so too at first then I saw someone else in the introductions say he now has jays car and has big plans.

Hope you find a 370 gem out there andy

Yeah didn't quite manage to bag Jay's sadly. Had an offer accepted but i think Jay had some family concerns and (while waiting for things to calm down) he got an offer locally for the full amount which (given the circumstances) he understandably accepted for a no-hassle sale locally, rather than one to me 250 miles away :)

Jay was very apologetic and (like i said to him at the time) it wasn't like i had paid a deposit or signed a contract of sale, so no hard feelings. I'm now on the prowl for something similar... :ninja:

  2. I was a bit shocked at the mileage, because the condition of your car doesn't say 70k on the tin.

Nicely kept motor, you should get your price to be fair, it's a very well kept car.

    GLWTS

It was on 41k when i bought her, just shy of 4 years old. So I've added 30k in the last (almost) three years, all totally trouble-free. The previous Blade Silver Zed that i had I sold when she hit 106k miles. And i think Doc350 got to over 170,000 on the original engine in his car before he sold it? Good lumps these VQDE jobbies :teeth:

  3. Hi all,

Here is my 2007 Nissan 350z which is for sale:

EDIT - Full set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres have arrived at my local garage. Due to be fitted this week, thus the car will have brand-new tyres all round.

I am only the second owner of the car, with fully documented history not only on garage receipts, but also on the 350z-uk.com website. The original owner bought the car from new in June 2007. He was an active member of the Nissan Sport z website where the life of the car before my ownership can also be seen. The pedigree of this car is second-to-none, owned from first registration by two Nissan 350z club members (myself and the first owner). I bought the car in March 2011 after seeing the sale advert on Nissan Sport z website!

The car wants for nothing service-wise, and has had a new clutch and lightweight flywheel fitted in mid 2013. Spark plugs were changed at 54k miles, and the oil is changed every 6k miles (well ahead of the Nissan schedule). Brake fluid, gearbox fluid and coolant have all been replaced in the last few years – gearbox fluid having been replaced again in 2013 when the clutch was done. All work fully documented and receipted from the either specialist garages or Ni$$an themselves.

As you can see from the pictures, the car comes with the very rare (and expensive factory option) Nismo LMGT4 19†alloy wheels, and the equally rare Midnight Blue paintwork, which looks brilliant in sunlight and menacing in the dark – quite a contrast! The Nismo alloys are a factory-spec option and therefore should not cost you anything extra to insure (I’m with Adrian Flux and they are simply ‘declared’ with no additional insurance cost because they are factory options not third party)

The car comes with all three original keys (2x ignition keys and fob, 1x interior valet key to lock the cubby behind the passenger seat)

In its lifetime the car has been only mildy modified. The OEM intakes (which will come with the car) have been replaced by Stillen Gen 1 intakes. These merely replace the OEM panels and filter housings with slightly larger Stillen housing and K&N cones. The fit is otherwise as standard.

The car has also benefitted from a Stillen exhaust Y pipe (much like the essential upgrade on the GTR) and also boasts a gorgeous Greddy Spectrum Elite back-box with blue burnt-tip pipes. These really suit the colour of the car. The Greddy is a rare fitment in the UK and I have yet to find another 350z with one.

The car is lowered very slightly on TEIN springs (10mm front, 14mm rear) and camber/wheel alignments remain well within tolerance when the car’s alignment is done. (Typically geo’d once a year or sooner if potholes get bad in winter months)

The car has genuine Nissan carpet mats, and a custom ‘Z’ logo’d vertical tonneau cover underneath the rear strut brace (this separates the boot compartments and helps to reduce road noise. It also looks very nice!).

Other than stone chips to the front and a few light scratches after 70k miles, the car is otherwise in lovely condition. The interior is also in great condition and doesn’t at all look like a car has covered 71,500 miles (actually slightly less than average mileage for her age). The LMGT4 alloys are in good condition but are in need of a refurb – especially on the rears where the winter months have removed most of the laquer.

Genuine 996 Turbo/370z Nismo reason for sale :O) You will not find a nicer looking 350z with this level of history anywhere else. Any inspection welcome.

    PRICE:

I'm asking £10,500 which i think is very reasonable for such a unique coloured Zed, complete with Nismo LMGT4 alloys and other mild upgrades (priced with the refurb of the LMGT4’s in mind)

    Thanks

  4. Not been hiding....just been working too much these last few months, barely had time to wash the Zed much less drive it *sigh* We did manage to move house tho! Zed fits in the garage now (im going to paint the garage door Turquoise and see if I get sued by Octet) B)

EDIT - this was in response to Darren-B's post....but the 'quote' option didn't work doh!

BTW Adrian - how is the 7AT? Is it smooth when shifting at speed or a little clunky? (Not that i'm looking at 370s or anything......) :teeth:

Nothing is smooth when Adrian drives :scare:

    Sent from the golf club...

This might help? "Smooth Turquoise".... http://www.bodyofart.com/explore/gallery/fantastic-forms-and-colours/20031/ :)

  5. Good to see you are looking at 370s ;)

I have noticed poor colour matching on panels on a few 370s but those were all white. There was often a distinct cream vs white distinction. Not seen any problems with other colours but can't say I've been looking. Where they all older cars that you looked at?

2009/2010 models at the moment Will. Low mileage cars tho, but perhaps it is an age/exposure to sunlight/weathering thing that exacerbates the colour match issue on some cars? (In addition to the plastic/metal paint-from-factory issue)

  6. Andy

I am so disappointed you have not looked at my car closer :( . Cos like every other pearl white 370 I have seen, the painted plastic bits are different shades to the metal parts, but then again it has been issue with the 350's. The strange thing is the "shade" can look darker than the adjacent metal painted section from one angle and then you look at it from another angle and it appears lighter.

I took up the issue with the Nissan dealer and he advised mine was little different to every other 370 that had passed through their premises and even showed me other marques, including BMW, where you could see excactly the same situation - accepting of course some were more evident than others.

When I had my sills repainted (by a Nissan approved paintshop and paid by me because of stone-chipping), they too are a different shade although the match externally was better than before. But open the doors and the more creamy looking colour compares more drastically with the rear wing.

But I've got over the concerns and what I will say the paint is far easier to maintain than my previous Ebisu 350, the main irritation being the stone chipping as I am completely hopeless at touching those in with the 3 stage stuff and more often than not looks worse that when I started  Just wish there were specialists out there (not the chips away outfits that are akin kwik fit in my book) that I could entrust to do a pro job as the last thing I want is to have the front end repainted....

To be fair you are normally hooning away from me on the drives so i only get to see the back of your 370 on the road (it does like good tho, and sounds lovely with the Stillen) B) I really didn't notice any dis-colouring on your bumpers, and i was up-close with your car when we were washing them in Wales last year. I can only assume any dis-colouration on your car is minimal Colin compared to others? (I'll be looking VERY closely in May!) :p
