Have you got a direct line number Tim? Would be good to talk to you personally.
Cheers mate!
Thanks for the message.
Regarding the quote, could I ask you to ring the office please on 0800 917 2274 or 01580 752961 if calling from a mobile – Mon-Fri 9am till 5pm, Sat 9am till noon.
It’s just that I don’t actually do the quotes, as I spend a lot of my time travelling the country on business and work from home also.
We have a specialist team who should be able to help you based on the details you’ve stated.
Thanks!

Regardless of how fair or unfair this is, it is now standard practice, it was recently covered in auto express, if you claim then your premium will increase even if it was not your fault
they say
if you are involved in an accident then the figures show you are more likely to be involved in another !!
its a rip off but they make the rules, i had the same thing recently when an audi tt drove into the back of me !! luckily i wasnt in the zed
It may be standard practice with the companies you use but not with us!

Yes, please give us a call!

Unabashed! We mentioned this above! You didn't tell my colleague that you had a CTR!
If you have experience of driving performance cars, then our scheme insurers are fine.
when I called I was currently insured on a CTR so would assume that you knew that after I gave details to you? I was told that there was 'no point in checking' as I had never been insured on rear wheeled drive before. I'm not having a pop as I have be extremely happy with the service and prices from you so far, just a bit disappointed that I wasn't able to stay with you!
OK, thanks. I'll pass on your comments.

Just too many claims, Dan, for under 25's. The insurers can't sustain the losses.
-
Sorry to hear that but did you see viewtopic.php?f=63&t=24832 ?

Sorry, no.
Me?
Sorry Danny. My mistake. All fine for you!

Sorry, afraid not.

Hi Tim,
I called Chris Knott last November to renew my insurance on a 2002 JDM coupe and you would not
even give me a quote, my postcode is OL10, so I went with direct line.
I have a clean licence, three years NCB and the car is standard.
Yes, sorry, the insurers aren't competitive in Oldham postcodes.

Just tried Chris Knott and said they could not insure me as not had car for a year or so and they want experience in driving high powered cars lol. Bit pathetic really.
Not considering that the insurers have paid out huge amounts on people who have just bought performance cars and can't handle them causing them to claim. Hence the reason for this prerequisite. (It is mentioned in the introductory post).viewtopic.php?f=63&t=15584

Tried us Mark?

Glad to hear it!

Have any of you tried our insurance scheme? We cover mods on a like for like basis anyway.

Hi
Just to let you know that I'm away next week (20-24 July) & 24-28 August so if I'm a little tardy in replying, you'll know why!
Please continue to post your experiences on here. We've had a great year so far, taken on more staff - twice now (!) - and streamlined our system to cope better so it's good that we can help you!
One club actually complained that we had so much positive feedback/testimonials on our email, that it took them ages to open it!!!
When ringing, please don't forget to quote the club name and/or reference number found either in my signature or in the original post of this thread.

We actually wouldn't do Agreed Value on modified vehicles. Sorry.

One issue that has arisen is that a very small minority of people are saying we haven't called them back. Small minority or not, we want to speak to everyone who rings us.
I can assure you we call everyone back without fail!
The reasons we don't manage to speak to people is because either they have gone out, the wrong number has been taken down or, as has been said quite often recently, people don't answer numbers they don't know!
Our stats show that we only manage to contact 2 out of 10 people on average! It’s frustrating for us as well!
I would therefore ask that if for any reason you have had to leave your number that you PLEASE RING US BACK WITHIN 2 HOURS MAXIMUM IF YOU HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING, or otherwise, please leave alternative numbers. (Mondays & Fridays are our most busiest however!).
(I covered for a colleague recently and was given a list of 4 people to ring back for a quote. None responded so, of the 4, I left messages on 2 answer phones, whilst 1 phone just rang & rang & the other was engaged consistently for hours. I checked a week later and at least 3 had not rung us back - I didn't have enough details to check the fourth).

Always declare every mod!
We cover them all (except cages & nitorus) on a like for like basis.

Hi Chris
Just had a chat with him & now I know!
Your other quote on the second car is taking into account the NCB on your first car but you can't use NCB on more than one car.
Hence we believe the Bell quote is wrong because when they ask you for your 1 years NCB, it will still be being used on the other policy & so is invalid on this one meaning they will charge you more money when they realise!
It's a daft rule imo but applies in the UK.
We can still quote but without applicable NCB though we would give you a reasonable introductory discount.
The bottom line is the price after all!

100% sure. i rang the number at the bottom of your profile and was told that you couldnt quote me. I cant remember the name of the guy that i spoke to sorry.
Ive been driving since 2003 as a named driver and got my own policy 2 years ago. the insurance company im with now have taken on board my named driver no claims but i still have a high premium!
What would you recommend Tim?
Ps im 28.
No-one knew of your name from today either!
Just give the team a ring and let me know how you go.

Must admit when I used our claims department for a non-fault claim, they sorted it within 2 weeks! (I was a bit gutted as the hire car was better than mine as well!).
