Insurance is due tomorrow, had quotes from almost everyone including Chris Knott (who quoted me £350 last year but I hadn't had the car for a year so couldn't take it) who this year quoted me £700. My renewal from Bell was £600 and I eventually got Admiral down to £512 and thats with the rear spoiler, the missus on the insurance (who has one claim) and bulletproof no claims protection.
job done

Hi Chris, and
As pointed out by martinmac and Lexx, I live in Yarm and drive through the high street at least twice a day
Drop me a PM if you have any questions or want a poke around one. I'm sure between me and Matt we can sort something out. You've definately done the first thing right though........joined this club loads of help and advice about, just use the search and read the FAQ.
Hear from you soon

I'll be waiting till it gets a bit closer to the event before deciding, hoping that the weather is bright and sunny!
Last time we went, we were sat on teh bank at Hawthorn Bend and saw some pretty good action

I've got the HP1400 Halfords pressure waher and its pretty good for the money. I only use it for washing the car and sometimes with my snow lance. Its done everything I have expected and is still going strong, only had it for about 9 months though!
Can't really complain at that price though.

Lexx, just seen this topic and I thought "oh no, he is thinking of leaving............again, dont worry it will never happen" but this time you ARE leaving
I'm happy that you have eventually settled on something you like. I remember you were getting a bit peeved with your car not selling. That car is a beast, and still falls within the Lexx branding (white!)
Can't wait to see it, keep in touch

Squeaky brakes Lexx..........Falcon is rapidly becoming my second home!Took my Zed in last week becasue of squealy brakes. One look at them and Steve could see they had glazed, so getting sorted free of charge as soon as Im back off this boat
Falcon are brilliant, I definately wouldn't go anywhere else plus they are about 10 miles from my house

I nearly got run over by another zed owner todaydefinately male n still in nappies
Detective Shuck has an outside bet on it being Elfman! He is the only guy I know who does look like he should still be in nappies and he drives a ginger Zed
Sorry Elf mate, but I reckon it was you!
-
dude they look massive in the last pic with your zed in the background like that
In true Father Ted style, the wheels are big, because they are close. The car is small......because its far away!
On topic, the wheels look really Can't imagine them being around for long. GLWTS

Really sorry to hear you are stepping down. In my time on this forum you have been a pretty consistant mod and have made me chuckle with some of your posts. I hope you really enjoy Wales and stick around afterwards.
All the best for the future

Woddy, Matt - 9am at Wolviston Services KFC car park???
I take it from there you are going down the A66 and then around the Darlington ring road and onto the A1M? If thats the case, I'll wait for you in a layby along the stretch of road where the brick train is, near Morton Park.
About 9.20 ok? No need to pull in and stop, I'll catch you guys up

No, not necessarily a deal breaker - more of a bargaining tool. But why have they gone?
Also standards are only 17" I think(?)
Not true. My GT has these wheels on, as the RAYS were an optional extra upto about a 55 or 06 plate I believe. Mine are 18" so I see no reason why these are not 18" either.
The one thing I used to look at when checking if it was a GT is to see if it had 6 buttons on the steering wheel. Easiest way I found as most/all adverts have pics of the inside of the car.
Car looks good, hope everything works out for you.

That first video is mental!

Too much info thereMy bedroom is currently full of 4 brake discs, brake pads, brake lines, Rimmage Wax. -
Isn't it true that some companies pay the showroom tax for you? I'm sure I heard that somewhere...

Sorry guys I couldn't make it. Other commitments but it looked like the 'Lexx weather curse' has finally lifted
Pics look good

I have the same response when I wave too. We need to start firing spotted cards at them or follow them and stick one on their forehead when they get out of the car

I've got a panel pot of supernatural and was told to put it on very thinly. I've only used it once but the pot has hardly gone down at all. I reckon I should be able to get another 2 or 3 coats out of it easily.I was put off the panel pot cos it read as if it'd only do a couple panels. Was I wrong? Have I just bought 10 years supply of wax? Damn! -
That is brilliant. How long before someone builds a version for the market?
-
ruddy 'ell Lee, thats miles away!
There is a planned meet on the next day with the BMW peeps as well.
-
Looks really good and definately worth it. One question, can you stop and start the recording remotely or do you have to use the buttons on the camera itself?
Just thinking it will b a bit of a pain if its stuck to your front bumper.
