  1. They look a bit rough around the edges to me?
  2. I thought the tonneau cover was the little wobbly bit that fixed to the hatch and covered the rear boot, but I stand corrected. I did see some notes on my workshop report saying non-warranty so I will wait and see when I go back, I didn't realise it was an option. I think if they fit new clips and then try to charge me for them I will tell them I will not be paying or they can put it back as it was. I am sure I can fix it myself if I need to.
  3. I'm not sure if this item is fitted to all cars? The problem was on the car when I bought it a few weeks ago (from a Nissan dealer) Basically the plastic clips that fit in the underside of the strut brace and in turn hold the boot separator come loose and then rattle. It was in the dealers for the 1st visit for them to fix it and they just stuffed them back in and said it was fixed, well a couple of miles later and rattle again, so I booked it in again and said I would leave it with them to fix as I was off all day. About 45 minutes after leaving it, they called and said that it would have to come back in again because they didn't have any spare clips. I can't believe that, they gave excuses such as they can't keep all the spares as they don't have the room, It is the first time Nissan has had this problem reported and they wanted to try something else before ordering the spares. How much can a couple of clips cost and why didn't they get them in anyway in case the thing they tried didn't work? Not happy I am having to go back a third time for such a simple item. I have taken it out altogether now.
  4. American site, but it gives you an idea of what you might need. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-G0u2jl4suoD/app/car/mycar.aspx You can change the options, factory stereo and type, aftermarket etc.
  5. I saw my first other Z when I was in mine, and I think they waved at me, so I waved back. I was a bit shocked as it was like looking in a mirror as an identical Sunset Z came the other way. (well apart from the plate of course) I was in Larkfield, Kent...
  6. Fortunately the damage is minor, which means I am still able to drive the car, and hopefully it wont take long to get fixed. I had plenty of witnesses, so I have the details of the driver from the car that was waiting behind me, but I shall only use her if it goes a bit wrong. So far the lady that hit me seems very apologetic, and really the place where my car is damaged mean't that I would have to be travelling sideways, and they don't do that whilst stationary in car parks, now on roundabouts that might be a different matter I have a guaranteed hire car through the insurance anyway, and because she is liable it can be upgraded, but I will let the hire car company do that and they did say that other companies may call me, which I find a bit odd as I didn't realise it was an open market for such things. I was a bit concerned that she may get home and husband gets involved but so far all seems to be straight forward and she might actually be a decent person.
  7. There I was minding my own business in a car park waiting for the person in front of me to reverse into a space, someone waiting behind me too, and a stupid cow in a Suzuki Grand Vitara reversed out of a space straight into me. How she couldn't see a Sunset orange Z is beyond me and on top of that I noticed she was moving and was frantically honking my horn to let her know I was there, but still bang. I have only had the car a couple of weeks, and there isn't too much damage, just looks like surface paint has been scratched off, closely missed the indicator, but her bumper cracked. It is the inconvenience of it all and having to drive a poxy Matiz of some other rubbish while it is being fixed.
  8. I have only had my Sunset GT for a couple of weeks, and not seen another Z to wave to. I have had a few comments from people at petrol stations or car parks remarking what a georgeous colour and how nice the car is, but they have not been Z owners, just ladies with taste obviously. I get people waving to me and thumbs up quite often when I am driving my 928, from random people, and on occasion they have actually congratulated me for having such a car
  9. Its called HDR, where you take several shots at different exposures and then use some fancy software to combine them. This is what it looks like without all that fancy processing stuff; It is actually Forest Green, which is a dark metallic green colour.
  10. I can't post any pics of the Zed just yet as I have to wait till next Friday. It is a very little used 56 plate with the orange seat leather upgrade and reversing sensors. I think the rest is standard GT. Here are some pics of the 928
  11. Well, I thought it was orange, or some sort of bronze, but I was just going by what the website said, and I thought the dealer would be right, but I stand to be corrected. It is a stand out colour and I really like it.
  12. Hi, I was pottering around the local car showrooms, actually looking for a replacement car for the missus, and spotted a low mileage ex Nissan 350Z GT coupe in sunset red. I wasn't really looking to change out of my Lexus just yet, but I have always had an eye for the Zed and in this colour I think it looks stunning, including the tangerine seats! I took it out for a test drive and that was it, sold. Road tax was a shock but at least for this year that and the superguard are in the price. It is like a new car with only 3600 miles on it. I have come from a Leon Cupra R, then the Lexus IS (new shape) and my other car is a Porsche 928 S4 (5L V8 in case you wondered). I still have to find a motor for the missus Roll on next Friday when I pick it up.
