No that is not the case at all. This is just a single measure put in place to prevent people simply using our site as a free advertising board without wishing to contribute in any other way. You will find that many places impose very similar measures, and those that do not probably receive funding by way of membership fees or sponsorship, rather than the server and its bandwidth being paid for out of the admins and mods back pockets. So its not a case of posting "any old bollocks" before being accepted. Everyone is accepted, though we do need to place some control over when we allow people to post adverts, otherwise we open ourselves up to everyone and anyone on the planet, using our for sale board without wanting to give anything back to the community. I am sure the original poster, and most other people will now be aware of this rule, it is also posted in the trading post section - therefore I am locking this topic.

Yup - the roadster is a heavyweight! Just switched my wheels to the rays, at 5kg lighter a piece, thats 20kg of that weight shed. Trying to figure out where I could shed more, and then I noticed the bathroom scales... Lettuce for me.

Hi! Another Chris with an Azure Z! Welcome to the site - hope you enjoy it!
-
Sorry - cant make this one, Im having to help the brother in law move house that weekend.

Kind of makes you want to doesn't it. The problem is though, withold the fee andyou are the one in trouble. Yet its OK for them to squander this money on salaries like that. In my opinion I cant see what the fuss is about. The BBC is funded by what is in all but name, a compulsary tax. So the public should be allowed to see how this money is spent.

http://media.guardian.co.uk/site/story/ ... ?gusrc=rss Am I the only one who is disgusted that they pay salaries like this out of the licence fee? Would all the salaries be the same if it were not for the "unique" way that the bbc is funded. About time the licence fee was abolished in my opinion.

Hi. What would you like to know?

Dont worry - quite a few of us dont think you are a scammer, but if it is the first time people have seen something like this, it does make the seller (you) look like a scammer. The first time I saw something like this, I thought the person was a scammer, but it seems the websites are the ones pulling the wool over peoples eyes. I've seen websites offering my plates for sale before, I dont know how they are allowed to do it. The probably aren't, but do it anyway just to make their site look as if they have some stock. Im guessing that most of these sites own very few plates, and just try to buy if someone puts an order in. If they cant get hold of the plate, they just write back to the bidder and say "sorry its already sold". I think this should be raised with the DVLA, as people are more likely to believe a "shop" or website, than they are an individual. Therefor as per this instance it has clearly resulted in people thinking less of your character becuase of their advertising. Indirect defamation of character?

Hi welcome to the site! If you take a lok in the modifications section, you should find a few interesting posts and info from people who are clued up on the forced induction scene. Hope everything goes well!

Looking forward to setting it all up again tonight now - and loading it with the speed camera database too.

As you now have 10 posts, feel free to advertise it here now. I would still advise that 15 posts will be required for "general" items. We do understand that there certainly is some benefit for members in allowing the advertisment of cars or other items regardless of how much of a contribution that person has made to a site. However, if you look at this from our point of view, we do not charge money for access to a single area of this site, nor do we expect members to pay anything toward the running or maintenence costs. We do not restrict membership of this site to a select group of individuals, such as owners or pevious owners etc.. Therefore the post limit before advertising is our only control over preventing our site being used by anyone and everyone who wants to advertise anything. However, as stated , as it seems you are not a flying visitor, and have started to contribute, feel free to advertise your car now. I am sure you will agree, whilst our status as a 100% open and free forum may be a huge benefit to owners and or motoring enthusiasts in general, it will always be open to abuse, so we do have to take some precautions over how our bandwidth or status is used. I hope this hasn't caused too much of a problem for you. Regards, Chris.

Isnt that services where we met for the GTIR meet just a few hundred yards away from donnington? I may be wrong. Im happy to meet anywhere though - just put an X on a map LOL.

Chesterfield replied to 350zwent's topic in Introductions & Welcome Messages
Hi welcome aboard - Im Chris, and I have a blue 350Z too! LOL -
New TomTom 700 sat on my desk now.
-
What donny car park? Im lost.
-
unstickied and locked as event has passed.
-
It does - gives me a day to get the rest of the stand sorted and the car washed before the drive on Saturday! LOL.
-
When ive got a copy of signed terms and conditions in my mitten, I reckon Ill be coming out with a new one.
-
Well - I took my TomTom back to currys as there was a fault on the screen. They sent it away for repair and gave me a servce docket. They also said it would be about 7-10 days before it came back. Anyway, Ive been on holiday and been back a while, and got thinking that it has been a while... So I get out the paperwork and read the terms and conditions attached to this service docket, looking to see if there are any timescales etc... Well, it states that if they are unable to repair the product under guarantee within 28 days, then I can request a replacement item. Ive just totted it up, and its exactly 28 day today. So Ive phoned them up and told them Ill be in in the morning to pick up a nice shiny new TomTom 700. What do you reckon my chances are of walking out with a new one?

Lack of glovebox, and a key that looks cheap and nasty!
-
It certainly wont be pulled. I see your point very clearly. The rule of allowing people to advertise after only making a continued contribution to the site was designed to stop people "abusing" the site. Popping on, advertising their wares and dissapearing again. However it may be a little too "black and white". Perhaps the rule could be ammended to allow advertising of Z related material without any posting history, but require posting history for people wishing to advertise "non" Z related items? What are peoples views on this?
-
Thats it then - only one space left on the show stand now. If you want it, post up quick.
-
For those placing cars on the stand, I would suggest meeting at donnington services at 7:30am. Last entry to the stands will be 8:30am, so we need to be there in good time to set up. Any last takers for stand position, We have two, though as Patto has proposed one, it is probably best to work on the basis that there is one left. We wouldnt want anyone paying up, only to be dissapointed that there are actually no spaces left. Please post here if you want the last space. Also, please can you post here once you have confirmed you have booked any of the spaces (Patto)..

Anyone had a kit painted and fitted to a blue Z?
Chesterfield replied to JDM Performance's topic in Styling
I can see the difference on my monitor, thats not good. I have seen Vals car in the flesh, and the kit is a perfect match as far as I can tell - and I certainly doubt it would show up like that on pictures. Id get another opinion, as that looks a bit iffy to me. -
Just saying hello (MY 06 on order)
