shire350Z Posted November 19, 2007 Share Posted November 19, 2007 got a sterio problem hope some1 might be able to help!! right my problem is that my bose head unit has gone faulty cd's are soemtimes sticking and left hand side speakers are going on and off!!! so thought id just swap it problem there so rare and in black to and when u find one ppl want silly money for them and then i heard u have to decode them at nissan as there programmed to individual ECU's(this right?!! so then i thought id put an alpine headunit and heard they were a night-mare to fit due to bose amplifier plus the sat nav lady might not come through speakers anymore and intergrated phone system would not work and id loose my steerin wheel controls?? so what do i do lol really appreciate your help know its ball ache readin all that for ya thanks again looking like only solution us a new head unit from nissan which is stupid money unless i sacrifice sat nav (voice) and intergration phone system!! Pingu2 Posted November 21, 2007 Share Posted November 21, 2007 why not just get a 2nd hand unit from ebay/breakers - I have one that worked well that you can have for a reasonable figure (pm me if you want it). no idea if you need to decode it as such but I really doubt it?
