Help please, annoying beeping when close drivers door

Recommended Posts

The beeping I'm talking about is the "trying to lock the car beep with intelligent key inside" beep so the fast ones. It happens every time I get in and shut the door. Even with the keys in my hand so no chance of accidentally pressing the lock button.

Anyone else had this?

Not had my 370z for long but mine beeps sometimes, no idea why tho, guess its described in the manual somewhere tho

how old are the batteries in the fob ?

No def not I have both. Only happens when I get in the car with the key or intentionally leave it in there when I tested the noise. Doesn't happen when I get out with the keys

See if the advice at around 1.30 in this vid helps you:

Bear in mind this is US spec so some of the functions mentioned elsewhere do not apply to UK 370's, but what I have suggested you might see if it stops the annoying noise for you.

I'll try it but that's referring to the horn function when lock and unlock. Mine is the fast beeps when you try lock the car with the keys in

I'm running out of ideas, the only things I can suggest is you change the batteries and if you are carrying both keys at the same time, leave one indoors and try each on their own. If the problem persists it might mean a visit to a Nissan Dealer for a software check

well took it to nissan today and mechanics have never seen it before and not sure why, if i want them to look and diagnose they want over £100 just to look.

Check your headlight position stalk switch.

Mine does it also.

Headlights in on position engine off open door to exit

Lights go out but car makes rapid beeps.

I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. ;)

Unfortunately it's not that beep mate. It's def the beep when you leave the keys in the car and try lock it, but it's happening when I shut the door and get in. Doesn't happen when I'm outside
