Mine has developed a 'whistle' and I'm pretty sure something dropped out of the bottom of it just before it started. Looked like a piece of foam/rubber or something about 5-6 cms long. My guess is that it was some kind of insulation or something but the dealer I spoke to today said he didn't know of anything like that in the mirror..... Any ideas? If you unscrew the plastic cover off the bottom of the wing mirror the piece that comes out should have a small strip of foam along the front edge. I guess that is what you're missing.
