  1. Great, thanks for the info. It is hard to beat the sound of a TVR though!
  2. Hi Sprevett What have you replaced, how much did it cost and is it easy to replace without special tools? I bought a Z about a year ago which replaced a Tamora. Like you I just want a bit more soul and ummph coming out of the back end. Can you give me all the details I need Many thanks Pistonzed
  3. I have got an azure blue driver side wing mirror unit (mirror plus housing) for sale. It does not come with the black plastic arm that attaches the wing mirror to the car (as that was the bit I needed for my Z). It is in mint condition but as my car is sunset red I have no use for it. I paid £50 for the whole part (as I could not get the attaching arm separately) but I'm open to any reasonable offer (plus 1st class postage of £5). If you are interested please pm me. Cheers Chris
  4. It was your advert (northernmunkeh) that I used to judge the price. I'm obvioulsy open to to offers if anybody thinks its a bit steep. So if you're interested get in touch. Chris
  5. Hi I am selling a genuine UK Nissan dealer supplied bluetooth phone kit. I have also got an instruction manual which I hunted down off the internet (not the easiest thing to find) as it does not come with any instructions when bought from Nissan! £85. Please pm me if you are interested. Cheers Chris
  6. I had a similar problem on a different car and it turned out to be the engine mounts had rotted and the engine block was banging into the chassis when dropping down off speed bumps. I don't know if this is a known problem for 350Z's but it sounds very similar. The parts aren't expensive but I think its not such a quick job to change them.
  7. Excellent!! Thanks very much.
  8. I am looking for the black plastic arm that attaches the driver wing mirror to the car. Its the triangular piece that side in the bottom corner of the driver side window and the arm that the wing mirror sits on. It's for a 53 uk model. Please pm me or respond on this forum if you have one. Many thanks Chris
  9. I had the same done very recently. The little c**ts scratched the bonnet and scrathced bi*tch and f**k into the roof panel. Its totally gutting and pointless. I know your pain! The best quote I got was £450 plus VAT for both panels and I'm please dwith the job.
  10. There is a piece of foam on the inside. If you unscrew the plastic cover off the bottom of the wing mirror the piece that comes out should have a small strip of foam along the front edge. I guess that is what you're missing.
  11. I've read lots about this already (as I have the problem). But can't find any anserws to the following, can somebody please answer: 1) Is it dangerous? 2) Is it damaging anything or just an annoyance? 3) What are the parts I need to fix it and where can I get them (rather than paying stealer prices? Many thanks Pistonzed
  12. I had Avons on a TVR Tamora and had a big spin in the wet. The back end just last traction with no warning and suddenly I was facing the wrong way, whilst travelling along a straight road! I've stayed well clear of Azon ever since and had a much better experience with Toyos (much more predictable) since on TVR and 350Z.
  13. I had a terrible experience with Sunwin Nottingham and will never use again. They couldn't diagnose a problem with the droplink which I told them how to replicate the problem. They then charged me for the repair, which they hadn't even done! I eventually got it repaired and refunded but lost all confidence in them.
  14. I'm on a track day on Saturday and just discovered my pads are almost out. Most places were quotting 2/3 days delivery for a new set which wasn't going to be quick enough for so I've got some from a local dealer which are Apec branded. I've never heard of these has anybody had any good/bad experience with them? Will they be ruined by the end of a track day? Cheers Pistonzed.
  15. They charged £32.50 plus VAT which was a bit pricey for the amount of time it took. They did both sides and said you need to carefully remove a rubber cover and then spray some grease in there. If you can raise the car then I don't think its much of a job.
