speedo not working

ok guys, ive had this problem for a while, just couldnt be assed to do anything bout it.

 

SO,

my speedo doesnt work.

but then sometimes it does...

and sometime is just has spastic turns, where it just goes al over the place, even when im at a stand still.

 

much help would be appreciated.

I always use the digital spedo on the R/H pod.

 

Could be the speed sensor.

Is it an import? If it is its probably the converter chip to change to mph, get rid and put some uk clocks in, if its a uk its most likely the white controller unit that the heater controls plug into

yeah its an import mate, well when the speedo doesnt work, neither does the gauge on the right pod.

 

how much would UK clock cost me? roughly?

or could another converter be put in place?

There have been a couple of people who have had this problem in the last year.... cant remember who, will see if i can find the threads.

I tried switching to a new converter and still did the same thing, the gauge pod followed the speedo by the way, so same as yours. I then took the converter out so it would just run in km's as a test for a week, speedo worked fine so presumed it was the chip, bought some UK clocks (£100 ish i think) and worked fine ever since, so if i was you, would try the same process to be sure.
