Right up the top end of the North Island.

 

Definitely top end of North Island, West side and I'm now sure its Kohukohu.

Kohukohu is a bit southeast of 90 Mile beach, so that would have to be it.

WoREoD, it must be one of those little places you go through, blink and you missed it. That area is about 250kms or so north of where I am and not a route most would take north, off the beaten track.

Oooh, you bet your life! Only 4 million of us in a country roughly the size of the UK, and nothing much between the major towns. And lots of stunning scenery to look at as a dudette drives.

Yep, I just love Google Earth! So much fun to jet instantly around the world. The still photos of 90 Mile beach are awesome! What a beach it is!
