Hi all, quick question about decat and remap :)

Hello,

 

Was wondering would it be 'better' to either decat or even get high flow cats for the zed before a remap/flash?

 

Even though I might not run decats on all the time, due to noise (as find my cat-back noisy enough as it is).

Depends ~ it is better to get all your breathing mods done before a remap as if you fit them afterwards you will need another remap to get the car running smoothly again & to see any gains.

 

Personally if you think de-cats will be too loud then I wouldn't bother.

 

If you can stretch to Berks HFC's or similar then that would be what I recommend as I love the sound my Berks give my Invidia system. Not to loud imo but then everyone's hearing is different. Also passed the MOT with no problems on my Zed which I hear isn't so easy with the de-cats.
