Handbrake dash light

Having some handbrake fun in the welsh valleys there Dave?

 

It started before Wales.

I think its a dodgy switch just wondered if anyone else is having or had the same issue.

 

I need gopro lessons Wales video a complete loss :cry:

It was happening on mine the past few months, getting more and more obvious. I read up that it meant one of three things:

 

Handbrake applied

Low brake fluid

ABS problem

 

I believe mine is low fluid, coupled with pads which are all on the low side. Got some Dot4 to just top it up, but i think the problem is the rear pads being low.

I had a squealing front pad, so i spent the time taking out the pads, checking/cleaning them and putting a bit of copper grease on the back of them. They are low, but not too bad.

 

Anyway, i topped up the fluid, and the light is no longer coming on. And thankfully, the screeching has gone!!
